That is quite hypocritical of the GOP when their justification for a 2nd Trump term in 2024 was "prices and taxes". That dude wants to lower prices and tax the rich. Noone cares about his tattoos.

Prices will not be lowered and their fantasies of "taxing the rich" are bogus and hypocritical. For example, Ro Khanna is a leader of "tax the uber rich" and had put out idiotic bullet points of what a 5% wealth tax on Musk would mean.

On what wealth is he going to tax? Actual realizable wealth or recognized wealth? There's a huge difference.

Also, why isn't ol' Ro leading the way by voluntarily relinquishing 5% of his $200MM+ wealth? That's just a paltry $10MM. But look what that could pay for. Let's use the average cost for childcare in California being $22,000 per year. That would provide care for 455 children for a full year.

So what do you say, Ro? It's for the children. Pony up. Show some leadership rather than wanting to take someone else's money to fund your wet dreams.

Why not? Show some leadership.

For years, Democrats were assured Trump wasn't paying his fair share. Yet, the facts spoke otherwise. The same applies with Musk.

If this is such a problem, then fix the tax code. They helped write it so they know full well these cries for fairness and "pay your fair share" is nothing more but bukkake theater.

Just because Musk pays an army of accountants and lawyers to ensure his tax liability is as low as possible does not make him a bad person. Those accountants and lawyers are taking advantage of the loopholes that both Democrats and Republicans have created.

All this is is nothing more than redistribution of wealth with a different paint job, that's all.
