THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
MTG posted this today. This is a persistent Republican mindset (in this case citing a clip from Goldwater in 1988); a deep belief of a strong faction with political influence in the country, at the nation’s expense.
This is why even the hardest of right wing republicans are breaking with their party (saying they will be refusing to vote for some republicans in the upcoming midterms) it is perceived it will check Israel’s influence.
Perhaps if Talarico wins in Texas, it will be the biggest upset to both parties; that checking Israel can work in Texas, in 2026, which means it can work nationwide in 2028.
A pattern, I have seen, time and time again the US, is a political shift takes 5 years. A few days after October 7th, 2023, on this forum (go back and check my old posts), I said observe how in coming 5 years, how everything is set to unravel for the status quo.
This is not to say Talacico will be pro-Palestinian, NOT BY A LONG SHOT, but for the US own long term interests, especially in the Middle East, and with getting back to focusing on the competition with China, real stability needs to be achieved with some kind of resolution, such a two state solution.
For its own international and domestic interests, the building consensus has to end in the US belling the Israeli Cat.
