Agree that Schumer has to go and many on the republican side too in fact both parties need a cleansing however I disagree about the people voted for dems for results. They got voted in because folks who voted for Trump stayed home, and we're talking about in the tens of millions of voters. No logical political person believes that Texas, SC, Kansas and the rest of the deep red states have gone blue because they are now popular this was a HUGE middle finger to congressional republicans and Trump from their voters for dicking around.

I give you credit for saying days ago that it was the NYC Zohar Mamdani who injected life into a fragmented, leaderless Democratic Party. I don't know if this was your original insight or not but it appears right.

As for me, some may find it hard to believe: I don't follow any politics too much. I have a staunch Democratic friend who has been asking me to go to various Democratic Party local events but I never went to those--despite being a Liberal myself. The only time I went to an event was when Annie Andrews was at a restaurant close to home and I basically went to eat some food and barely paid attention to her or the event.

The Midterms came and I took some interests because of hoping to have better health insurance options, which the Democrats would provide, and to have better hope to stop the war on Iran, which the Democrats would provide. Beyond those... I am too self-absorbed to worry about what some in other far off regions do. Whether Left or Right, stay away from my region's peaceful area.

Thank you. When all protest were going around last year I didn’t see a single Democratic leader in the protests other than Bernie Sanders. Mamdani handled all the vicious attacks on him on his own , outstandingly.

In those days last year all the Democratic leades were looking for the closest rock to crawl under. Even Obama didn’t make any strong statement. So yes I will say Mamdani pulling it through almost by himself injected life into younger Democrats.

So the likes of Schumer and Hakeem coming in and take the flag from younger Democrats house and senate members is a disgrace.
Schumer as the senate majority leader and Hakeem Jeffrey as the speaker is just nothing but the continuation of the same old thing.

Plenty of independent and Republicans, who voted for Trump in 2024 literally kicked out the Republican leadership, more like annihilated the Republican Party. I heard one Texas Republican leader says I went to bed in a red Texas woke up in a blue Texas. Ron Desantis said it was an extinction level event. The same will happen to the Democratic Party if they don’t change.

Independent voters typically decide the fate of the elections . I agree there are democrat or republican leaning independents. And also there are more registered Democrats than there are are republicans.
