They should know better than to irritate and fumble with their relationship with Pakistan. If the ambassador did this on his own to please some indians, i'm sure he'll be taken to task by his own people at state dept and pentagon. And if its on behalf of zions/hindutva and was planned, it won't end well too. America/West is on decline, Europe too, so relying on those sinking shoulders won't do much for modi govt.

The tactics being used at present is to uplift the living standards of Kashmiri people and the development of the region by removing the isolation from rest of the country. The current pace of the "organic" growth was never before experienced by the people.
More jobs --> better living --> less dissatisfaction --> less insurgency

The day when they cannot pray Eid or Friday prayers on Kashmir's roads will be the day they realize freedom is worth more than having better jobs. My only hope is that they are not like rest indian Muslim sheep.

Now, our leaders spare no occasion for bootpolish and TC, yet Sergio Gor has called Kashmir a part of India. And he is not just the Ambassador to India, but also the Special Envoy to South Asia, who has visited every South Asian country, including tiny Maldives, except Pakistan. To add insult to injury, the US has still not bothered to nominate an Ambassador to Pakistan even when Sri Lanka has a Senate confirmed ambassador in Colombo.
