I wouldn't read too much into this just yet. Yes, I know, Venezuela. But, keep in mind these may be part of scheduled NATO exercises. The last time we saw something like that it was just that: exercises.

Last I was aware, the 101st still had units at the new base in Poland. Or was it the 82nd? Haven't been keeping up with troop movements for awhile now.

Pro-Russian mouthpieces said the same thing before Russia Invaded Ukraine. "They are just military exercises", are very famous words. We won't know until something happens, and it is unusual.

So the Venezuelans did fire MANPADs at the 160th, but countermeasures were successful and they smoked the guy with 30mm fire only seconds after firing
