If the U.S. were willing to sell, I would actually suggest that the PLAAF procure 4 to 8 F-35s for use by "Blue Force" units!
Ideally, these fighters would retain their original USAF liveries. Of course, the price couldn't be too high; a unit cost of under $100 million would be acceptable.
I wonder if Trump would be willing to sell under those conditions...
Of course, under this arrangement, we could still procure original Russian Air Force Su-57 fighters from Russia. This would potentially make the PLAAF's "Blue Force" the most lavishly equipped unit in the world.
