US Navy unveils new long range air-air missile in testing the AIM-424 Malice

....I also love it's not the size of a telephone pole and likely weighs extremely less than a certain "long range" missile certain PDF members boast about. 😇

You are certainly Incorrect on above. The thing is awfully heavy, maybe the heaviest air to air in any modern missiles. Below stats i just copied from US Navy.mil website... for aim 424

Length: 13.5 feet (4.11 meters)

Diameter: 13.5 inches (0.34 meters)

Wingspan: 26.2 inches (0.67 meters)

Weight: 1500 pounds (680.4 kg)

Aim-424 is a two-stage missile the first stage likely separates after 10-13 second burn (aim-120 has a 7.8-8 second burn time) the second stage will def weigh less than an aim-120 not that it matters. PL-17 is the size of a telephone pole and not maneuverable built to take on tankers and similar size aircraft not fighters.
