Israel needs to be reigned in - the Iranian regime (largely failed nowadays even more) are irrelevant in the wider picture in terms of the region.

Israel is the troublemaker that is not held accountable by the US. This cannot go on forever otherwise the US will lose all their allies in the region.

KSA/GCC hosts the largest American diaspora in the region (by far) as well. I have had personal dealings with many of them and most are great people. I myself lived and studied in the US as well and know the US quite well. Some distant relatives have even become US citizens. I have no problem with American people. My opposition is to certain US regional policies and their blind support for Israel.

Iranian regime shenanigans, which are self-evident and have been that since 1979, are not an excuse for giving Israel a free hand to do their own shenanigans. It does not serve US interests in the region long-term either.

Arab leadership, I know this for a fact, at least in the case of KSA, have been saying this to US officials privately and even publicly since the 1960's.

We have letters to President Truman from King Abdulaziz from the early 1940's and later 1950's (once Israel emerged) voicing criticism that latter proved correct.

Force the Israelis to accept a two-state solution or 1 state solution with equal rights and most of the senseless conflicts, wars etc. would end in the region. Or for sure be limited in numbers.

Not everything the US has done in the region has been bad. For instance the US helped the Syrian opposition to topple the Al-Assad regime. In particular in the early years.

US allies in the Arab world have generally done much better than largely failed USSR Arab allies whose regimes have all mostly ended.

The US has helped the GCC grow economically, opened its arms and universities to 100.000's of our people, US firms helped build our infrastructure and countries (if you look at history this is the same case with every regional country - it was the West that helped build the modern infrastructure of Turkiye, Iran, Pakistan etc. as well largely - even their militaries were modeled after UK/Western equivalents).

And it is delusion for Arabs to believe that Russia (we have the evidence of this during the USSR existence) or China or any outside power (who are looking for their own interests) would not do similar mistakes.

Main problem with US policies in the Arab world are related to Israel.

And much of this is the fault of Arab leadership and lack of Arab political unity (among leadership) and internal Arab disagreements and rivalries.

Which is natural when we are divided into 20 + countries and 20 + regimes - each with their own agenda and priorities. While our enemies do not have such problems.

The US barely helped us in toppling Assad, and frankly you can argue that they harmed us much more. When they put in place that weapon transfer program in the early part of the war, they purposely limited it to the absolute minimum, the only support of real consequence was the TOW program that they purposely drip fed missiles to us in very small batches and every missiles had to be recorded on video and accounted for by the small group of rebels that actually received them. They deliberately held back support to the point where it seemed they are more interested in bogging us down in a prolonged attritional conflict that exacted heavy casualties on both sides rather than help us win and topple Assad.

If it wasn't for the fact that we had mass uprising of civilians and significant desertion and defection from Assad's conscript army that over ran numerous army bases and munition depot to actually gain some weaponry, that pitiful US support wasn't of any real consequence.

Not only that, but they actively armed and supported the PKK/SDF to the teeth, to the tune of $0.5B USD/year, a separatist terrorist organization that collaborated with Assad and helped extend his rule on the western side of the Euphrates, and fought against us to keep Syria separated and balkanized. How is that helping us topple Assad? That's nonsense.

With the extent the US has meddled so extensively in the region for so long, on so many fronts and in so many countries, sure you can make a case they helped in this or that instance, but whatever positive contributions they made during all that fuckery is completely dwarfed a thousand time over by the harm they caused, and their unwavering support for Israel is just the start of it. It's much better that they are completely kicked out, and we handle our own security without their constant interference. Something like the security initiative that Turkey, Saudi, Egypt, Qatar and Pakistan have started would be a million times better than constantly relying on a country that has done so much harm to the region, and supports a genocidal belligerent expansionist regime unquestionably. I don't know single person in real life from the ME that actually thinks having the US and it's intelligence apparatus constantly fucking around in our affairs is a positive thing for us.
