US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

United Airlines is considering raising airfares 15-20% due to the increase in the cost of jet fuel. That is likely to have a significant impact on the summer travel season, especially if the other carriers follow suit.

Going into the midterms, this is going to reflect badly on the Trump Administration.

The tramps of both camps are waiting for the Godot to come and destroy other camp's finances and economy.....

I've had your post running through my head all day, about how a simple narrative and a fictional play can be more reflective of the ground reality.

My English teacher in high school once said that some writers have a very special mind, as they can reflect the complexities of human behavior in a simple metaphorical or analytical sense.

WASHINGTON, April 24 (Reuters) -

The U.S. State Department's top lawyer has argued that President Donald Trump's war with Iran was launched in self-defense and to defend U.S. ally Israel, arguing the bombing campaign was not the start of a new war but the continuation of an ongoing conflict.

State Department Legal Adviser Reed Rubinstein ‌made the arguments in a statement released days before a May 1 deadline for the Trump administration to obtain approval for the war from Congress under the 1973 War Powers Act ‌or move to end it.

Cost of Iran War Not Included in Pentagon’s $1.5 Trillion Budget Request

The White House is expected to soon ask Congress for a supplemental spending bill to cover the cost of the war

The record-shattering budget is a nearly 50% increase over this year’s $1 trillion budget, but the Trump administration is going to ask Congress for even more military spending to make up for depleted weapons and other military operations related to the Iran war.

Initial reports said the administration was planning to request $200 billion for the war, but the number may be revised down to $80 billion or $100 billion. Russell Vought, the director of the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB), told lawmakers last week that he didn’t have a “ballpark” estimate to share.
