Because Iran won’t stop committing terrorist attacks on ships and tankers that have nothing to do with the war. These aren’t American or Israeli ships. Therefore, Iran is blockaded in the Strait by the USN.

Iran suffers half a billion in economic damage everyday. Onshore oil storage capacity is nearly full. It’s has 1-2 weeks left of offshore storage left. $300B in direct damage from US/Israeli attacks.
