I'll just go ahead an be blunt then. This is going to end either with the US breaking Iran's will to fight or vice-versa. How that is accomplished is open for debate. Will it go nuclear? Doubtful. Could it go nuclear? There is always that possibility then again, Putin has been threatening such action for how long now?

This tit for tat approach is not going to end the conflict.

In spite of what the wishers and hopers on both sides believe, neither side is fully in control of the Strait. That is fact and not worth the debate. If you choose to disagree, feel free to follow your preferred PowerPoint postings on Twitter in order to feel better.

Iran doesn't need to fully control soh , all it has to do and is doing is to launch few missiles and drones here and there from a distance to scare off the ships ....to fully control the soh America has to do amphibious landing and capture the surrounding areas , technically it's not that difficult and America has more than ample resources to do that...it all boils down to political will , domestic politics and certainly worldwide poor perception about American policies.....time is not in Americas favour and the Iranian know that.. that's why they are doing everything to prolong the negotiations.

Correct! Putin has been threatening to go nuclear for years. Threatening various European capitals.

How's that working out for him? Hasn't stopped anything.
