US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Just stop with the cope already.

Last night's op could have easily become Eagle Claw 2.0.
Bro , on a serious note... America must show some restraint , when humiliation crosses certain threshold the opponent is left with no choice but to die fighting....no one in right mind wants such a scenario.

How is stating facts coping? The operation was a huge success, the WSO and all personnel brought home safely. That’s what matters at the end of the day. A handful of aircraft lost is nothing for a country with the resources of the United States. Not coping, that’s a fact.

Should the US have given up after the Japanese sunk 4 US aircraft carriers and multiple cruisers/destroyers in 1942? No, Task Force 58 was built and thoroughly crushed the Japanese.

I am pretty sure you understand the differences.
Those are tribesmen in a mountanious área. Wonder what gonna happen if this kind of deployments are done in covered áreas by regular Army or even worse... IRGC.

We will see soon...
I absolutely do. A jungle environment that had no less than 3 full divisions of NVA under triple jungle canopy.

Out in the open; Highway of Death 2.0 is what I envision.

Trump trying trying to be appear scary, which he isn't. G Bush was a lot more feared. Trump just wants to go back to his ordinary life and can't handle big responsibility

Even Israeli's think it's disturbing

Because, as usual, you gloss over or ignore all of the facts. You cherry pick and choose those that fit your view of reality.

Given your awe and admiration of US forces and performance to date, maybe you should go down to the nearest recruiter's office and sign a contract. That will help fill in the gaps.

No, I gave you the facts. Yes there were aircraft losses, but it’s minimal relative to the resources the US military possesses.

An yes, everyone should be in awe of what the US CSAR and special forces just accomplished. Not one, but two pilot/WSO recovered. There’s not another country on the planet that could attempt an operation at that scale that far into enemy territory.

We will see soon...
I hope not, this President has immunity and is willing to use it to remove any political constraints any previous administration imposed in the use of force. If Trump was President when Mogadishu happened he would have leveled an entire city block to get Aidid.

If you think he is kidding about leveling Iran unless they accept his terms - he is not.

Trump is Caligula of our age.

Most of which came from the CSAR. Again, it’s minimal relative to the resources of the United States:

- 22 F-15EX procured for 2026, another 24 requested for 2027
- 85 F-35s across all variants requested for 2027
- 8 C-130Js procured in 2026
- 29 UH-60 Blackhawk Ms procured in 2026

MQ-9s were built for the counter terrorism era. The USAF is now shifting to CCA drones, with $1B being requested for 2027.

This thread should be rename to Cope Thread ?

The military losses are in an exchange in a combat environment, and therefore significant in that regard, irrespective of how they may be replaced in years to come, which all militaries do.

@F-22Raptor @AZ_HighCountry

He is backing down again. If this war is meant to go on for months I think he should stop with the 48hr repeated deadlines

..
..
ABC on Trump: I don't want to talk about extending the deadline for Iran because they have plenty of time to reach an agreement

The US perspective is (since no mentioning it):

A nuclear armed Iran with powerful conventional capabilities if left alone, around 2030's with China/Russia axis would setback US interests in the Middle East

And start a nuclear arms race

So yes there are US interests at play it's not just about Israel
