Initially, there was the dressing down last year, and now, this, from a retired Major.

This might go into the realm of conspiracy theory; I see this more as restructuring the officer ranks by ideology, rather than the conflict at hand (Iran).

More then a generation. British empire was declining before WW2 and that war accelerated it's end. This is doing the same to the American Empire. Hard to see how they keep up with China after this.

That is making the massive assumption this news is true, assuming it is there is a host of reason Aus would want SF there and not nessecarily for a ground war, which the Aus PM has ruled out joining. Usually Aus would be helping out at this stage with fighters, P-8s, ships etc, but have not entered. Every US ally knows this is a disaster.

My guess is the SF are there for planned emergency evacuation of Aus Expats in UAE, of which there are quite a few. UK probably have SF there for same reason

The US unprovoked aggression on Iran during the holy month of Ramadan. Iranian's has the right to defend itself. It is called retaliation self defence. I support. Well done Iran.
