US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

I think the recent Trump's post is good indicator that a deal is within reach, now as long Tel Abib don't mess things up, we may see a deal is announced within like 24-48 hrs, which is great, cuz world can finally have some peace, and hopefully the gas prices get lower so i can finally go somewhere for a vacation, i am getting sick sitting at home and don't wanna travel 700-1000 miles with cost of a full tank to be around 45-50$.

Fine I'll say it.... This is just a ceasefire extension with sunshine sprinkles to put it bluntly. Orangeman can say in a few months Iran is not abiding and can resume kinetic hostilities. It's an extension for the World Cup and 4th of July 250th celebration he doesn't want a war looming during these events. If 90% of offensive forces remain then it's just a delay. No way is Iran going to handover their enriched Uranium and no way is Orangeman going to allow Iran to keep it. It's a delay before hostilities resume in the meanwhile Iran can sell oil and US gas prices will drop for summer driving.

Sorry for repeating myself but it sounds good when you got 2 shots of Cuervo in you.

And more details are coming out.

If all these terms are met, then it’s a US victory. I’m sure lifting of sanctions and unfreezing funds are conditions based.

Basically any relief for Iran is all based off performance and their own concessions

If Iran gives up the uranium, as Iran says they will, then the US will have achieved its number one core strategic objective.
False, US could have achieved the same objective through negotiations and without the war as Iran was ready to give up the enriched uranium. Obama did it without firing a bullet.

US goals of the War:

1) Force Iran to abandon its nuclear program completely - FAILED

2) Destroy Iran's ballistic missile capabilities - FAILED (70% of missiles still intact together with underground missile manufacturing facilities)

3) Force Iran to stop supporting its proxies in the region - FAILED

4) Topple the Regime - FAILED

Instead:

1) US has demonstrated limits of its military power as US stockpiles of PGM have been exhausted in less than a month, while goals of the war have not been achieved.

2) Iranian regime survived and became more radical and the Iranian people is more united with the Regime than ever, while anti-government opposition is discredited as traitors.

3) US lost credibility as a security guarantor for the Gulf nations as they were pounded by Iran and US could do nothing about it.

4) US lost credibility with its European and Asian Allies as Trump did not even consult with them while this war did damage to their economies.

5) WIthin the US Trump became increasingly unpopular because of this war which can destroy his presidency.

6) Even within the US this war is being seen as DEFEAT.

Airstrikes are highly effective method of warfare. And US military employed it very successfully against Iranians.
The whole country is left non-functional with just 40-days air compaign.
Why put troops on ground? That sounds stupid.

I am shocked that you truly believe what you have written. We must not have been watching the same war ?

You can try all the mental gymnastics on this that you want - but this war has been a strategic defeat for the USA as shown by even single political and military scientist out there.

Thanks for iterating this list, the actual list of USA failures is longer, but the point stands. USA "strategically" lost this war.

1. That’s exactly what the agreement states. Iran has to hand over all its HEU, will be forced to cease enrichment up to 20 years, be inspected by the IAEA, and has to cease operating all underground nuclear facilities. Thats on top of 80% of Irans nuclear industrial base being destroyed by strikes. Irans nuclear program will be effectively dismantled at that point

2. Centcom confirmed that reporting was inaccurate. Even if it was, that figure includes Irans cruise missile stock. Iran losing half its ballistic missile stock after 5 weeks of combat isn’t the flex you think it is. On top of that, 85-90% of Irans ballistic missile production facilities were destroyed

3. Irans ability to project power across the region is severely degraded. Its proxies are largely destroyed and ability to resupply them effectively severed. That’s confirmed by Centcom

4. Regime change was never a primary objective. Yes, we killed top leaders and attempted a Maduro to Delcy style leadership change, but full on Saddam style regime change was never a priority. Doesn’t change the fact over 50 of Irans top leaders were killed, and Iran is now the weakest its ever been, with a devastated economy and nearing failed state status.

5. The US military is procuring near 50,000 strike missiles over the next 5 years. PAC-3 production is increasing to 2,000/year by 2030. THAAD 400/year, SM-6 500/year etc. The US military is massively increasing its munitions stockpiles. PGMs are nowhere near exhausted. The US expended only a quarter of its total Tomahawk/JASSM inventory.

6. The US didn’t lose any credibility. Practically the entire Gulf and Middle East nations were on call yesterday with Trump in support of a deal. The US is entrenched in the Middle East, call the shots, and is going nowhere. Same with the Euros as we all saw Merz doing damage control and bending the knee.

7. Instead of concerning yourself over US-Iran, you should be far more worried about your own country getting buried in Ukraine. 1,400,000 dead and wounded Russians, total stalemate at the frontline, Russian territory getting smashed by Ukr drones on a daily basis, and Putin begging for a ceasefire so his May 9 parade could take place without getting railed by Ukr drones. Russia is frankly being humiliated
