Fair, I can understand why you would say that being American you naturally have allegiance to your country and its objectives and national interest, but as a person, I would like to get to know your perspective, not CENTCOM tweets, not Trump but you, the person behind the username F-22 Raptor.
I would be most obliged if you would entertain a few questions from me, and you can be as frank as you want, I am just trying to get a handle on how the American posters on PDF view this war domestically.
What challenges have you faced if any economically or socially throughout this conflict?
How do you see the current administration's handling of the war?
Do you feel that this war has fit into the mantra of America first?
What do you think worked well and what could have been handled better?
How if in anyway has the war impacted your daily life in the US i.e. cost of living, fuel, food, travel etc?
Do you feel America is safer now than before the conflict?
Lastly, what are your concerns, and hopes for the US and its role globally going forward?
Thank you once again for humoring me. I just think these questions should have been asked of US citizens here to make this more about "US perspectives" rather than just sharing news articles and tweets.
1. Higher gas prices, otherwise no challenges
2. I’m frustrated with Trumps indecisiveness and obsession with deals. I’m not sure he understands he’s dealing with what is essentially Hamas at a state level. He needs to commit the necessary forces in a decisive way, and that includes ground forces. I don’t want to be back here in 10 years in this same position. Finish it now
3. Whether it’s America first or not is irrelevant to me. I’m not MAGA and have never voted for Trump
4. Military performance has been excellent overall and have achieved everything they’ve been tasked to do. Biggest issue I have is Trumps mouth and constantly undermining our position
5. If I was unaware a war was ongoing, I wouldn’t notice anything different in my life outside of higher gas prices
6. Yes, not only safer but in far better strategic position than 5 years ago. Iran and its terror proxies are the weakest they’ve ever been. Assad is gone and Syria now lead by a CIA asset. Irans nuclear industrial base is toast, the HEU buried. Their missile and drone forces heavily degraded. Inaction would have lead to a 2030 nuclear armed Iran with 10,000+ ballistic missiles shielding it.
