About time.
The IRGC fanatics have spent years portraying themselves as untouchable. Recent events suggest that image is rapidly fading.
The fact that two of the Arab world's smallest countries are now reportedly conducting air operations against Iran would have seemed unthinkable not long ago.
That is ancient news. Qatar downed 2 Iranian fighter jets
Qatari Defence Ministry also says seven ballistic missiles and five drones fired by Iran were intercepted.

and the Emirati, Kuwaiti and Bahraini Air Force bombed numerous sites in Iran on multiple occasions.
As did KSA (which has barely been targeted by Iran despite KSA being the main staging ground for the US attacks on Iran).
Even the smallest air forces of the GCC can destroy Iran's oil and gas (their lifeline) sectors which are mostly all based in the Arab-inhabited Al-Ahwaz (Khuzestan). Tiny UAE (which has an economy 2 times larger than 90 million big Iran - lol), could launch 100's of suicide drones on Iran on a weekly basis.
There is nothing impressive about what the desperate Arabized Mullah regime (self-proclaimed Iranian Arabs) are doing against small GCC states.
Fact of the matter (main thing here) is that Iran is a failed entity in every way while the GCC is one of the world's richest areas of the world and most stable ones. GCC has more to lose than a failed, impoverished, sanctioned and now heavily bombed entity like Iran.
And before users here cry about why KSA is allowing US stationing in KSA (there are no US bases in KSA), the Iranian regime has been opportunistically meddling in the Arab world (KSA's backyard and none of Iran's business), often war-torn Arab countries, since 1979, in order to prop up their terrorist proxies in order to gain influence as otherwise Iran would have zero influence in the Arab world. So they have to act more Arab than Arabs themselves in order to gain that influence. They found a niche in the Wilayat al-Faqih modus of operandi and as a self-proclaimed defender of a certain sect in the region. This is the harsh reality.
Had that not occurred since 1979, we would not see the current events unfolding.
Less than 2 years ago we had deluded Iranian regime supporters claiming hegemonic control of the region, boasting about "controlling" 4 Arab capitals, Syria, claiming to be untouched etc. That fantasy world ended very quickly and now the regime is fighting for their survival and Iran is further weakened on every front (at least 300 + billion in material damages), a worthless currency and economy, huge local disconnect (the Iranian regime had to murder 1000's of their own in January) etc.
All they are doing (the claim is to want US presence removed from the region and among other nonsense claims) is strengthen the smaller GCC states resolve in upgrading/strengthening their ties with the US. Not the opposite.
Unfortunately a regime that has run Iran to the ground for 47 + years and this (2026) is what they have to show for, is not a very clever or competent regime. Some of us always knew that. Now the entire world sees it.
To make it short, KSA alone could control/blockade/disrupt 3 of the world's main water ways. Suez, Bab el-Mandeb and Strait of Hormuz using similar tactics. Not exactly an accomplishment in any way. Threatening to destroy all of the regions oil and gas infrastructure. In fact just 1 squadron of the RSAF could destroy all of the oil and gas infrastructure in the region within the span of 1 hour.
So as I always wrote (long before this conflict even began), the main trump card of Iran has always been the threat of disruption the region's oil and gas infrastructure (which would have a global economic impact).
But for starters I don't see them doing that because that would mean the utter destruction of Iran's own oil and gas infrastructure and a full-scale war with Iran that they would not survive in their current form.
We have the example of this with Iraq's destruction of Kuwait's oil and gas infrastructure in 1991. Small Kuwait still stands and rebuild. Sure, Kuwait never regained their former status as the world's richest country per capita etc. (was bound to fail long-term anyway) but nevertheless. Same thing will happen with KSA/GCC. We have 6 trillion USD in sovereign wealth funds alone. We can easily rebuilt all of our oil and gas infrastructure. Would a sanctioned, even more pariah state Iran, be able to do that in the same manner and as quickly? The answer is no.
So in short, they are using this threat (destroying the region's oil and gas infrastructure) to try to force the US to stop their campaign and to remove sanctions etc. Unlikely to occur. The Iranian dream of controlling the Strait of Hormuz is also just that - a dream and illusion. Never going to happen anymore than KSA controlling the same Strait and the Bab el-Mandeb and Suez.
Iran has an easy choice to make if they want to live in harmony with KSA/GCC/Arab world. Stop opportunistic meddling in war-torn Arab countries, stop support for backward terrorist proxies and regimes, stop sectarian propaganda, stop meddling in whether KSA or Arab country x or y has close relations with USA, Europe, China, Russia or whatever (none of Iran's business). Once/if that happens, relations will be cordial like they are among most average Arabs and Iranians, which is why the GCC alone hosts the largest Iranian diaspora in the region without any main challenges or problems.
If the Iranian regime wants to engage in permanent piracy, threaten regional infrastructure and global economy, they will only be met with hostility and suffer destruction. But that regime has had 47 years to change, become smarter, but they have failed in every endeavor. From the economy, to good neighborly relations to even building a nuclear weapon. Outside of drones (copies of Western tech) and missiles (Russian, North Korean etc. help) they have nothing to show for mostly to the point that 10 million big UAE has twice the economy. Which is extremely embarrassing for a nation of 90 million with huge oil and gas reserves.
