US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

“ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences,” he said.

He did not specify what punishment countries would face, and none other than Iran were mentioned by name.

He listed several activities that he said need to stop immediately: “oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, front companies”.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had similarly said last week that the US would soon be ramping up efforts at economically isolating Iran, as part of a two-pronged approach with a US naval blockade.

“It will be a combination of economic isolation, like the world has never seen before,” Bessent told conservative television network Newsmax.

The US Treasury has for months been carrying out an effort, dubbed Operation Economic Fury, aiming to cut off Iran’s funding with targeted sanctions.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that the US “Economic D-Day” against Iran was a diversion from America’s economic problems and warned that further pressure would fail.

“Doubling down on failed policies will only bring further defeat—and enmity of Iranians. US economic terrorism threatens global economy and sovereignty worldwide,” he said.

Stop wasting your precious time on me. You’re clearly wasting my time for no reason.

I didn't ask for your opinion or your arguments, so I'm not sure why you suddenly felt the need to start demanding proof from me and presenting whatever it is you're trying to present.

Right. Could you please stop following me around like a Chihuahua? I don't know you, and I don't recall ever having engaged in a conversation with you in the past.
Stop making irrelevant and incendiary arguments without any substantiation - such as claiming that the Iranian diaspora wants Iranians in Iran to fight to the death while doing nothing themselves - and I won’t have to call you out.

You know what you’re doing and it’s not like you’re the first one to try. You’re pushing a narrative that simultaneously attempts to delegitimize domestic Iranian support for the IRGC against an external aggressor during war, while also attempting to undermine arguments against this US imposed war as ‘oh, its just people who don’t live in Iran’.

Theres a version of this approach that Fauj/PMLN/PPP supporters use against Expatriate Pakistanis who tend to support the PTI, and the reason is the same - you don’t like dealing with uncomfortable truths and questions so it easier to deflect and make it personal and about the identity of those arguing against you instead of refuting the argument itself.

Ciao bella 😘
