At this rate, I want to believe all this hopium, thats how bad things are today in the oil and US bond markets. Not even joking, this is getting pretty distressed.

The US is nowhere near broke. The US is the wealthiest nation in human history. Growth and job creation remain strong. Stocks are well above prewar levels.

Brent crude is elevated, but these prices aren’t unprecedented. For example, early 2010s crude prices averaged near $110 for 3+ years, and American wages are substantially higher today.

Q3 GDP is tracking towards 4%+ growth the first half of the quarter:

That’s why the collective wisdom of markets , currently in the form of oil price and US bond yields are the best reflection of reality to keep a check on any hopium driven intellectual analysis .

To argue against these two big markets is to say is basically flagging yourself as the person who knows more than anyone else in the world . That may be true , but chances are one in 10 billion

I can win a lottery 1000 before I will believe those arguments at those types of odds .

After I win the lottery 1000 times, i will believe F22 raptor’s analysis and apologise for my wrong analysis. The world will apologise to him too .

Not only diesel is at an all time high, semi trucks also need to fill up on Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) which add further costs to shipping.

Just returned from a day trip down to PHX with Mrs. AZ. Made a casual comment about the price of diesel is averaging $6.59-6.69 across the valley.

Took her all of 3 seconds to connect the dots and what the impact is going to be downstream in the supply chain.

The bubble people can cling to that which supports their very limited view of the economy while ignoring the intricacies of the global supply chain and how it works.

The longer this drags out the worse it's going to get. Underestimating the resiliency of your enemy will only lead to your demise.
