US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Several sites out there carrying this including TWZ. I had it pulled up and meant to post here.

He’s bragging that Americans weren’t killed as high as it could’ve it’s because American generals in the beginning of the war decided well hey we can sit there like sitting ducks or evacuate what really matters and that’s American lives yes material losses can be replaced but 3 plus billion(what’s known so far) isn’t chump change and give it to the Iranians their giving a lot more than anyone thought they were capable of seriously I knew they were capable of damage but close to a dozen countries getting hit one after the other you can’t give them a bit of respect for their ability to hold on and say ok is that all you got I’m ready for the next round whenever you are trump definitely was fooled into a silly war against a country that was far better prepared to handle what came at them….round 78 just around the corner looking more and more likely now

Does that mean valuable equipment wasn’t destroyed dozens of aircraft destroyed all over the Middle East just on the ground alone hastily retreat from harms way leaving behind invaluable hardware isn’t something we should be proud of American troops dying needlessly for a war that shouldn’t happened is another thing altogether hegey kicked out anyone who actually opposed his half ass plan and now American forces are left with a bunch of yes men

Losing some equipment is a part of war and manned aircraft losses are historically low.

Losses from direct Iranian attack are 1 F-15, 2 A-10s, 1 KC-135, 1 Apache 1 E-3. 1 F-35 was damaged and returned to base, 8 F-15s with light damage and returned to service. 4-5 KC-135s damaged and returned to service.

These aren’t significant losses relative to the resources the US military possesses. For example, the US fifth generation fighter fleet is approaching 1,100 alone.

Well of course it's war after all, there will be losses, even the more powerful side will have some losses.

Excuse the Jerusalem post first one that popped up this is what has been reported what do you think we will find out in the months ahead videos keep leaking soldiers keep letting things out of the bag @F-22Raptor

48 of those are war on terror era drones that are expendable. CCA drones are in production today, with MMAs right behind:

Meink: Operational Prototypes for MMA Drones Coming in 2028

The Air Force will field operational prototypes for an autonomous drone to replace its MQ-9 Reaper in 2028, Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink said Oct. 14.

“We’re going to be fielding operational prototypes by ’28, and we’re just awarding the contract now,” Meink said during a panel discussion with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, other service secretaries, and senior Pentagon officials at the annual AUSA conference in Washington. “That’s the speed of what we’re fielding capability, and into production—large-scale production—starting in ’29. That is the goal.”

An Air Force spokesperson confirmed to Air & Space Forces Magazine that Meink was referring to the Massed Modular Aircraft, the planned successor to the Reaper.

“The autonomous fighters are already in production,” Meink said, in reference to the Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft program. General Atomics’ FQ-42A Vengeance and Anduril Industries’ FQ-44A Fury have been selected for production and are undergoing testing with the Air Force’s Experimental Operations Unit at Creech Air Force Base, Nev.

“Now we’re looking at essentially the autonomous strike platform, the autonomous bomber,” Meink said, referring to MMA. The aircraft is envisioned as a multimission aircraft, like the MQ-9, that can conduct strike missions as well as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. In contrast, CCAs are currently focused on an air-to-air role paired with crewed fighters.

Meink previously announced at AFA’s Air, Space & Cyber conference that the Air Force would field 100 MMAs by 2029 and 500 by 2032.

81 aircraft known losses and are we comparing today to what war when you say historically Vietnam world war 2 etc we haven’t suffered this amount of material damage in decades so than does have the right brag about destroying an accent Air Force and navy that is also ancient I forgot a drop in the ocean doesn’t cut it 3 plus billion dollars known to replace just what has been lost again what we know is 3 or 4 billion so American forces again when we know is about 7 billion dollars of lost and new hardware forgot to add alhamdullah American taxpayers are making defense contractors even richer

The Pentagon has issued $168B in contracts across the critical munitions portfolio in the last few months. THAAD, PAC-3, Tomahawk, AMRAAM, SM-6, SM-3 IB. $3B is nothing for the Pentagon

Agree but you can’t make every argument to the debate oh gosh that was nothing for real historically very low we have to go back to Vietnam and world war 2 (he not so subtlety leaves out what era)

Most of those are drone losses or damaged aircraft that have returned to service. Manned aircraft losses are lower than Desert Storm and Iran has FAR greater long range strike capability than the Iraqis ever had.

Well iI have never saw a picture of Iraqis severing an American reconnaissance plane in half(that was the one they said was only slightly damaged remember) take everything with a grain of salt with trumps pentagon a bunch of yes man who have no backbone minus a couple of guys and even they know there’s a limit to what can be said
