So then riddle me this: where would this bomb be used and is the USAF prepared to protect the C-130 that would be carrying it?

Unless something has changed of late, that is the only aircraft capable of carrying a MOAB.

Thank you I said the same thing a few days ago and if you read the specs on the MOAB against a mountain it’s not even worth the trouble of using it blows up before it even hits the ground it would against airfields(does Iran have anything that actually needs to be grounded anymore) and military bases above ground the only thing capable of doing it is MOP C 130 even guarded by dozens of aircraft would be open season for the Iranians they would send anything everything they have against it slow moving aircraft like that I don’t think so unless Trump and heg are bigger imbeciles that they would tell the Iranians what we can easily look up ourselves

What people don't realise that the MOAB has a "release window" of altitude, speed and height for a fixed route for a period of time that makes the C130 vulnerable to most AD systems. This talk of MOAB is just trash talking from the orange idiot. Given that Iran can still shoot down drones at altitude, Iran can easily shoot down a C130 laden with a MOAB.

For how long can the USN do it at the intensity it is doing it, burning up flight hours, airframe lifespans and ship life spans to get just a few barrels out every day? It is not sustainable which is why the orange idiot wants to escalate to try and bring closure to this whole war.

man honestly I need to send you all my posts so you can streamline them for me I said the same thing but 5 times longer 5000 to 20000 to be able to drop MOAB and moving at a 300 miles an hour with a 30 pound payload even if escorted by dozens of aircraft would be an extreme task, I actually kind of believed one of those reports where White House sent a message to Iran let us bomb the area with the MOAB and we will call it a wrap it’s for theatrics alone not a real military strategy if they wanted to hit the mountain guessing it would take several MOPs if those can’t pierce it call it a day

I know you remember of course when they hit the mountain in Afghanistan with the MOAB other than wiping out all vegetation and homes and buildings in the vicinity it didn’t put a dent in the mountain itself so if he is actually serious it’s all theatrics no real military solution to a complex deep under a mountain
