Listen gents if Trump doesn´t have an invasion plan on the table everything else is irrelevant.

The recent meeting by the eight in Istanbul said everything. They all reject strikes because they just don´t see the point of it really as it achieves nothing.

I have been against them from the beginning it was waste of time in all honesty.

The Americans need to come with a viable solution here and the most important thing is an invasion plan which is unavoidable. This is what they need to put on the table then everyone will take them serious and gain backing including backing from the 8 that meet in Istanbul recently.

he is alot smarter then you assume.. The airstrikes are useless and they failed. He needs to come with something different. An invasion plan and anything short of it is not workable period.

Looks like major combat operations set to resume which Trump keeps hinting at. My guess is the remaining 20% of ADM Coopers target set will be hit, including any capabilities Iran reconstituted.

What capabilities? Iran has a massive country forget about all this it amounts to nothing but boots need to be put on the ground period. 80% OF Iranians do not want this regime hence an invasion into Iran won´t be a chellenge.

The US stopped short of hitting all of Coopers target set in April. He wanted a 2 week campaign in July to finish the remaining 20%. My estimate is over 3,000+ targets remain plus hitting reconstituted capability plus expanded targets like energy facilities.

Ground invasion doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

Analysts the world over suspect Iran still has aerial assets squirreled away that can conduct aerial policing roles if not actual combat, not to mention their UCAVs which provide suitable A2/AD function.

I have read this "80%" figure banded about a lot by some people... This is based on a rather dubious poll that was first featured in this paper:

Why should American boys and girls die for some misplaced and misunderstood concept of what "change" should look like? Do you realize the human cost this would have on the Iranian side?

Now I am not saying that there isn't some desire for change inside Iran but "boots on the ground" do no provide that change, Iran is not Iraq or Libya... This would be a misadventure at the highest and thankfully saner minds in military circles agree:

Of course a ground invasion is not in the cards. Outside of maybe an island or three and maybe a couple beaches, there's not enough infantry types in the region for an invasion. We pulled out of Iraq so no avenue there.

So, with the MEUs already floating, it's a few islands and a couple beaches at most.
