US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

We call that hurricane food and we still have plenty of it plus propane six cases of 35 pack water and honestly just a lot of random stuff I really should get a gun permit but I’m actually anti gun for people who shouldn’t have it

I think most people will just need a power station battery(1kw or 2kw), a radio and just a "pool of food" that can be consumed without needing "energy" like gas or electricity to prepare it.

I have noticed here, that power station batteries are mostly out of stock now here in the UK. So, as soon as they are in stock I will get one.

Sir none of the people read what we type... We literally answered the 72 hour kit questions many days back.

Frankly I am tired of entertaining questions and will revert to memeing

Maybe we should have a pinned "The Preppers Guide." ? Given the audience here, I think and our mutual interests, it might be useful ?

Yeah, gone for tinned food, pasta and rice and a LOT of bottled water. We have a wood burner and have around 600 small logs that I have put in waterproof bags and kept in an alcove behind the shed. That, torches, powerpacks and candles. All the tinned food lasts till 2030 so my logic is 6 months prior to expiry donate it to a foodbank then restock. Woodburner and my outdoor fire put and grill means we will have warm food.

My actual concern after 3 days of no gas/electricity/water will not be food , heat or water, we are now well stocked. My main concern will be other desperate people and possibly lack of policing in urban areas

Yeah, may be handy, already we are also seeing a big difference in US v UK approach to prepping

Americans are far better prepared partially because their weather is so extreme at times, that they need to be preppers anyway to an extent, and also shops/things are a drive away always(you cant walk to the local shop).

While I think most of us here on this forum can see how the world is evolving and how the atmosphere has changed for the worse and expect to get worse, trying to convince my brothers/sisters to take this seriously and also prepare is going to be a challenge. They all live in la-la-la land and pay no attention to the outside of their ecosystem of lollywood-bollywood films. I am not convinced that some all of them have zoned into truly knowing or understanding there is a war going on in Ukraine !!! That will be the battle to solve.

Yes, brother, this is where we have to be the ones to look out for them if the shit hits the fan, same problem with my sister and brother in law. They are all about fancy cars/clothes/holidays and totally unprepared for anything. Thats why i overdid it on food and water knowing they may seek my help. No point me saying "I told you so" if the sh*t hits the fan, will just have to ensure they are supplied too or move in with us.

I know @AZ_HighCountry has also written some very useful guides.

Once knew a lady who was asked to do a cable show on prepping. Asked her why she didn't do the show. Told me people will know who she is. 😂

(This lady can make her own medicine that is better than what a doctor can prescribe. Caught a bad rash clearing some property, the homemade cream knocked it out in a day.)

Op sec is a big deal within the prepper community.

Another one I came across, a rancher. Each Christmas he gives another neighbor an AK-47 and 1,000 rounds. (By now, this guy has armed the neighbors he wants to help him defend his community. He is bugging in.)

Told me the neighbors are first confused, he just tells them to hold on to the rifle and bullets, someday they will appreciate the gift.

It’s all good and all stocking up on cans food water etc.
What happens if your on life saving medication, has the U.K. government addressed this main concern is long term supply so the pharmacy will be able to provide for unwell patients.

This is the thing, any widespread disruption will see hospitals and cares homes and the sick prioritised, so we need to focus on relying on ourselves till things get back to nornal. For me, my wife and adult child I know we will be way down the list of people to help, so we need to use our own resources for food, heat, lighting etc

That is a question for the UK government to address.
