US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

I think a nice shiny glock-19 can make a good home defense weapon.

Mate, we are not even allowed to buy REPLICA guns here in the UK. You actually need a license to say you work for an acting/film company or you are part of a war reenactment society. I am not kidding.

One thing to consider: I am of the age that my parents and grandparents went through The Depression. So gardening and canning was just an everyday part of my life. Rarely was anything thrown away. If Grandpa felt it had some value, into the workshop it went.

That in part explains why I had easily 100 or so metal coffee cans of various sizes.

My mom is the same - she stockpiles and always made sure there was food in the house and always would buy on the sales. I think it comes from a generation who did not have steady income/employment so they learnt to stockpile to smooth out between the highs and lows of life. The younger generation do not have that. I am in the middle between both, so I still have the concept of enjoy the best, but always prepare for the worst.

Interesting, for some reason i thought UK gun laws would be similar to American gun laws. Not a big fan of guns but i understand why people have a handgun or two in US for home invasions or break in's, lots of crazy crack heads around. But I have seen videos of people on drugs still keep coming at people despite getting tased or even beaten up by several people, take AZ's advise if you can't buy a gun at least wrap a barbed wire on the bat lol imagine boinking some British boi, Oi dat wznt vry noice ain it.

Hahahahaha! Yeah, for sure will think about the barbed wire bit. So depressing even to think I need to do this to protect my family

More likely in some people's minds.
well, ships are moving, Iran is hitting some and not others. From what I have heard the VLCCS are staying out and they are shuttling oil out on smaller tankers and paying the tolls. Also insurance on the shuttle tankers is much less for obvious reasons. Of course the loading takes MUCH longer. Because VLCC rates are so high its cheaper to pay the toll then pay the cost of VLCC shipping from the USA. ($30+ per BBL for asian buyers)

The world we live in, that's the unfortunate truth, when Masjids, churches, synagogs are not safe, people's homes are not safe, schools and malls are not safe... we need to bring back that 1970-1980's hippies era, more drugs and sex, less violent crimes.

Seven years of trimming back trees and picking up dead branches.....now have hedges located around my home with kindling over four feet high no one notices.

Plenty of cinder blocks to put up a nice rocket stove in a pinch.

Cattle out number people by multiples.

Just haven't figured out the cattle rustling part (sarcasm).
Good for survivalism bad for wildfires. Can't win. 🤣

View attachment 221766Not gonna lie but i really like this gun :D cheap and looks nice and shinny with American flag colors :)
No one should underestimate the effectiveness of a .22. Would it be my first choice? No, of course not. But, if it happens to be the only thing I have, I will employ it.

In a couple threads here, I posted a .22 very nearly succeeded in putting my uncle in a grave. It did confine him to a wheelchair for the remaining 57 years of his life.
