American logistics don't allow for a long standoff , it's not easy to keep the AC carriers deployed on an armed ready state for a long time... besides gulf is not the only theatre for America to worry about.... window for resolving this crisis is very short and you can't leave Iran off the hook .

Your pissed off country is way down the league in military power relative to her regional peers....in an all-out war regional countries can devour Iran in no time.... what does Iran have other than few missiles and drones ?

My country is America I’m just stating the Iran fought fiercely and hasn’t faltered and let’s be real who would actually fight Iran toe to toe unless they were backed by actual capable American or yes Israeli forces……come on dude why are you acting silly for no reason even you have admitted the Houthis have been fighting fiercely and the Saudis and Yemen forces are nearly incompetent(paraphrasing) so what do you believe Saudi Arabia that hasn’t been able to put down a Houthi offensive could do to a country the size of Iran

In 1991, Iraq took a beating the likes of which it had never experienced ever. Yet, I told buddies of mine we didn't finish the job and that we'd be back some day to finish it.

Yup. The military objectives were met. Iraq was expelled from Kuwait. No fly zones were established over Iraq, etc. Yet, Saddam survived, gassed the Kurds, etc.

What annoys me is there are people in the Pentagon, speaking out of school, that Trump and Hegseth were warned that a war with Iran was unsustainable. WHAT?

First off, why is this even being leaked? Secondly, if true, what does that mean about America's preparedness in general? As if in a crisis against a peer adversary.

I'm still of the opinion we are prepared but maybe not to the level we should be because of the deliberate depletion of stockpiles by the Biden Administration to support Ukraine. A depletion without any concrete plans to replenish as they should have been.

I could care less what those here are saying about all of the contracts that have been awarded. I used to work in manufacturing. I ended my career in logistics. I know a thing or three about capacity and supply chain management. The Biden Administration did us no favors.

Others here are ecstatic the US is ending military aid to Israel. It won't matter. It's bukkake theater. Israel still benefits thanks to the latest provisions of the NDAA. That is worth far more.
