US Political News and Trump’s China visit

*3 YEARS AWAY* 2028 US Election Prediction (Vance vs Newsom)

@Yommie, the 2028 election is still 3 years away. Let's curb any early speculation of outcomes for now, ok?

Thanks.

Bill Maher finally realizes Liberals are their own worst enemy

Dude, it's below you to quote a year-old video trying to misinform people.....Unless you are trying to say Bill Maher finally realised liberals are their own worst enemy a year ago

This is what Bill Maher thought 2 weeks ago

I specifically like 1:30 when he said that.

Trump *CONFIRMS* $2,000 dividend check for Americans?

Democrats *CAVE* as Government Shutdown expected to end

Someone is mad about the end of shutdown.

The shut down in and of itself was idiotic and totally unnecessary. Democrats NEED hot button issues. Like the question regarding abortion and illegal immigration, Democrats chose to use this as a hot button issue.

The question at hand now is the expiring tax subsidies and ending of the expanded eligibility they enacted into law in 2021. The subsidies and eligibility were meant to be temporary.

When they say the writing on the wall in late 2024, they had ample opportunity to make those subsidies and eligibility requirements permanent. They elected not to. And now here is where we are at.

Democrats created this. And, they are masters of blaming Republicans for it.

Why are some people turning on Trump?

First of all, whether or not shut shutdown is the Democrats' fault or not, the Public view is that it is the Republicans ro blame; that's not just some polling data that suggested it did, that's from numerous elections from Nov 4, people are voting against Republicans in both Red and Blue states, there are no other solid way to interpret it. The Big 3 and numerous small races flip to the Democrats; if the people are blaming the Democrats, they won't vote like that.

All these are excluding the Big 3 Races (NYC Mayor, Virginia, and New Jersey Governor) because everybody knows about that, and minor races such as Pennsylvania Supreme Court Judgeship and Georgia Public Utilities Board races, as they are largely irrelevant and also minor win in blue states.

And you need a supermajority in the Senate to pass any tax credit exemption, as those are not budget reconsilatory bills, which means by 2024, it's impossible when they were just slightly ahead in a 50/50 Senate with Harris's vote as VP, they can't do anything about that. They will need 10 GOP senators.

The shutdown is the right play for the democrats in a pure political sense, but was let themselves down by their own. They didn't need to cave, and they did, and that's because Dem establishment is basically a "Republican Lite". This is also what I previously said to @FuturePAF about the "Divides" between establishment Democrats and the modern Democrats. Because I think the reason they did this is to try to curb the rise of the modern democrats who lean further to the left. Otherwise, I don't see any reason why they would do that when they literally have the golden goose —the voters' support.

Because they caved, perception can and will be built against Establishment Dems by the Modern Dems. They will be primary-ed all across the country.

Btw, looks like maybe able to add Katie Wilson in Seattle to the count of dem wins across the nation:
