US Political News and Trump’s China visit

I might be wrong, but the impression from the media of those who carry tasers and guns together in America (i.e., cops) often tend to confuse a gun for a taser.
then they should have their qualification removed as cops.... this shouild be basics...

Your experience as an LEO is?
i am obviously not a law enforcement officer

But this should not happen when youre an actual qualified cop and ina job where you have to be quick in decision making

Just saying, the ICE Agent should have carried a taser for a situation like this....

To the contrary, the left seems to have a big problem with ICE arresting and deporting illegals. Abuse of power or not, as you are alleging, ICE still has a job to do regardless of the location. Yet, it's obvious to anyone looking at this objectively that illegals seem to flock to cities that proclaim themselves as sanctuary. And, ironically, those are mostly Democrat-run cities.

The extreme far left of the Democrat Party isn't the majority either. Yet, look at the power that a handful of them wield over the Party leadership.

More and more reports are coming out that the deceased was allegedly stalking the ICE agents all day.
They don't get it. They don't see that when a LEO is in front of vehicles giving lawful command to driver to get out and driver gasses it towards LEO it is considered use of deadly weapon. They also don't get that ICE agents consider these protesters as hostile and violent people with agents being attacked, shot at and rammed by vehicles.

Now I've seen in a non violent situation where a LEO gets in front of car commands driver to get out and driver takes off almost hitting LEO because LEO was able to get out of way and no shots are fired but in this situation you already have violent protesters attacking ICE agents where the threat level is high due to all the attacks they have gone through. Some in here seem to think just because LEO didn't get hurt because he was lucky/quick to moveout of way that use of deadly force is not justified which to me is retarded thinking.

Some people think if the ICE agent suffered injuries like this LEO then maybe use of deadly force is justified which tells what sort of warp thinking they have. Imagine if ICE agent was a bit slower he could have ended up like this LEO.

"Coulda / shoulda / woulda". I hear this all the time.

Some of the worst shooters I know are, ironically, cops. Because many of them are NOT "gun" people. A very good friend and shooting partner of mine is a deputy sheriff who also happened to run the range for Maricopa County Sheriff's Office for almost 10 years. Some of the stories he shared makes you wonder why some of these people aren't limited to a single bullet Barney Fife style.

Regardless of qualifications, mistakes happen. It doesn't matter the profession. Mistakes can, do, and will continue to happen. How often and severe is one of the functions of the level of training each officer goes through.

Local news just reported that the officer involved in yesterday's incident in Minneapolis received 36 stitches in the leg.

Federal agents don't carry a taser generally; you need a duty belt to carry one, and you don't wear one if you are a federal agent.

2 things.

1.) This happened BEFORE the shooting, if he shot her at that second, yes, you can justify it with this action.

2.) if he is on the path of the car, he would have dragged under the wheel arches. I will say there is bumping involved, but that's not that heavy as in a direct threat levy at the agent, the reason why he was bumped off instead of being drag under the vehicle is that he wasn't in the same direction of the car travelled, which you can see from the other angle, he was OUTSIDE the turning radius of that vehicle.

And as a 11 years veteran of Law Enforcement, you should have known this BEFORE you used your duty weapon.
