Had time to catch up with a HS buddy of mine today. This somewhat worked its way into the conversation. We were discussing the various music we listened to in those days. Lots of jazz, especially by the Black artists, Motown, soul, etc. The compared that with the typical music of today. Garbage.

Talked for a bit about the decline of the black nuclear family in the US starting with the various social programs introduced by LBJ in the 1960s.

Why am I reminded of an old curse that said "may you live in interesting times"? Nonetheless, I remain a proud American, come what may. This current Apedom shall pass too.
