US Political News and Trump’s China visit

QUOTE:

"OpenAI said in its report that this year it has stopped people who tried to use ChatGPT to generate content about elections in the U.S., Rwanda, India, and the European Union. It’s not clear whether any were widely seen.

In one instance, the company described an Iranian propaganda operation of fake English-language news websites that purported to reflect different American political stances, though it’s not clear that those sites have ever gotten substantial engagement from real people. They also used ChatGPT to create social media posts in support of those sites, according to the report."

END QUOTE.

There is no doubt that this forum is being seeded with such manufactured crap by Russia, China and Iran, intentionally and methodically. Such self-amplifying garbage makes for a useless forum.

Now, before my post is removed (yet again) on some pretext, let me stay on topic and say that the elections are going to be crucial and time is running short.

Not long to go now.
Absolutely. I've been donating to Kamala's campaign on a weekly basis. I'm also quite active on Facebook, where I have over 2700 political friends, and we've planned several private events for Kamala's campaign. I've also donated to Senators Brown of Ohio, Baldwin of Wisconsin, Rosen of Nevada, Casey of Pennsylvania, and Tester of Montana. Next week, I intend to donate to four more Democratic Senate candidates from Florida, Texas, Maryland, Arizona, and several Democratic House candidates.

Bottom line: I'm doing everything I can to keep the felon out of the White House.

Everyone does it, including the U.S., and it's nothing new. From a policy standpoint, both candidates are pretty similar, so it does not matter which candidate wins.
They have significantly different policies on a variety of vital issues, including the economy, immigration, healthcare, social issues, foreign policy, and climate change, reflecting their respective political beliefs.

The biggest difference is on economy. Democrats = higher taxes and central planning economy like USSR. Republicans = lower taxes and free market economy like the US in the Cold War era.

There's hardly any difference on the other issues. The biggest difference could be said to be abortion where Democrats want to restore Roe while Republicans want to make abortion decided by votes of each state.

Another issue is mandates. Democrats want to implement electric car mandate and covid vaccine mandate. Republicans are opposed to mandates and want to have the market determine supply and demand.

Democrats raise tax higher and higher and uses central command economy. Central command economy sucks. The government is highly inefficient at managing resources. That's why eastern Europe and USSR collapsed. Even the covid tests they send out for free are junk. China survived by going free market, which is GOP's policy.
