The way the system was set up to work is that representatives are supposed to represent the interests of their constituents. Somewhere along the way both parties have become little more than mob bosses and if you did not vote the way you were told to, you paid the price for it politically. Nancy Pelosi made damn sure of it.

In this case, this is simply another data point that Hakeem Jeffries is just the minority leader in name only; that AOC and the Squad runs the party now. I actually applaud the two for standing up.
