The current Far Right is better than the previous Far Left puppet that was blindly signing anything put in front of him by special interest groups. They hid it until the very end and it was too late for Kamala to take over.
There is no left wing in the United States, let alone an extreme left wing. Even Roosevelt can only be considered center-right. The problem with the United States is that you can only repeat trial and error along two paths; you cannot explore a third path.
In 1900, China was defeated in war by the Eight-Nation Alliance (Britain, the United States, Germany, France, Russia, Japan, Italy, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire), ushering in a century of humiliation. At the same time, the Chinese people began searching for a new path to national rejuvenation.
First, China attempted to reform the feudal system by introducing Western technology and ideas, but the Chinese soon realized that the old feudal system could not accommodate the development of these new ideas and technologies.
Then, under the leadership of a new emperor, China experimented with a constitutional monarchy, adopting Western political systems such as a parliamentary system, but this effort quickly failed due to a backlash from the old vested-interest groups. The Chinese people realized that political reform initiated from the top down would not succeed; without a political foundation, feudal bureaucrats would not voluntarily relinquish their power.
Consequently, the Chinese began educating the grassroots against monarchy and feudalism. In 1911, they overthrew the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty and established a capitalist China. However, the Chinese soon discovered that the nascent bourgeoisie had rapidly become the lackeys of foreign powers; not only did they betray more national interests than the Qing government had, but they also further weakened China’s national strength and worsened the people’s livelihood.
Consequently, after 1919, the Chinese people began to support the spread of communism in China and established a communist China in 1949. However, the Chinese people soon discovered that communism also had significant problems, so in 1979, China abandoned communism and became a socialist nation. During a century of humiliation, we tried and failed on nearly every path before choosing the China we have today.
Meanwhile, Americans have been constantly oscillating between these two paths. Why don’t you give socialism a try? Even if you don’t like Chinese-style socialism, you could try the Nordic model of socialism.
