The current Far Right is better than the previous Far Left puppet that was blindly signing anything put in front of him by special interest groups. They hid it until the very end and it was too late for Kamala to take over.

There is no left wing in the United States, let alone an extreme left wing. Even Roosevelt can only be considered center-right. The problem with the United States is that you can only repeat trial and error along two paths; you cannot explore a third path.

Consequently, after 1919, the Chinese people began to support the spread of communism in China and established a communist China in 1949. However, the Chinese people soon discovered that communism also had significant problems, so in 1979, China abandoned communism and became a socialist nation. During a century of humiliation, we tried and failed on nearly every path before choosing the China we have today.

Meanwhile, Americans have been constantly oscillating between these two paths. Why don’t you give socialism a try? Even if you don’t like Chinese-style socialism, you could try the Nordic model of socialism.

Our system is fine as most of the things that have a direct effect on people are handled by local governments who don't really care who is in office in Washington. My town still collects money to pay for schools and roads regardless of who is office. We still discuss and vote on town budgets the same old way.

While the Chinese people like more central government in their lives the US likes less. They don't want decisions the Federal Government makes to affect them. They want something like solar on their roofs to generate electricity as that is just one more dependency taken out somebody's hands and put directly into your own...which is sort of the ultimate goal of most Americans which is to be 100% free of dependency...especially government related ones.

Your RV cannot be parked on the street. Your house's appearance and color are restricted. In some areas, residents are even prohibited from collecting rainwater and cannot even cut down trees in their own yards. Chinese people's lives are actually much freer than yours. Yes, while this is common and aesthetically pleasing in China it is considered an eyesore in almost all of the US and most places ban it from the public facing street side of buildings...the back is a toss-up...some do..some don't.


Plus having a clothes dryer is the preferred method for people.

Roosters are very a common noise ordinance that my particular town did pass (but not all towns) and yes there is a limit to hens.

OMG the absolute horror that drinking alcohol on government property is banned in the US but highly encouraged in China. That will go over well on this site. Chinese Mom and Dad pushing their little kids on swingsets at the park while people around them are chain smoking and boozing it up. What great role models!

Yes, you can park an RV on the street during the day as long as it isn't one of those big bus sized ones that would impede traffic. However If there are designated parking space lines drawn on the road or meters you can't be taking up more than one spot.
No, you can't park an RV overnight in most places. You have to be in a parking lot not the street.

That's absolutely ridiculous. There is no ordinance in my town for colors or appearance. I can paint polka dots on my house and put a 15 foot wide dutch windmill on the front lawn (which btw people have done). Again my neighbors will certainly look at me funny but there is nothing they can do about it.

Are 100% of towns allowing it...of course not. Every town is different.

However you are mainly thinking of places in the US where people live under Homeowners Association (HOA) "horror story" rules. That is common in the Southern states of the US but not in the NorthEast.

Yes, you can...people do it all the time. I have had several large maple trees cut down. What people certainly can't do is cut down trees in preservation areas which some suburban towns have bordering backyards

During my career, there were a number of jurisdictions that had bans on rainwater harvesting. LA County of course was one of those. IIRC, Denver was another.
