US will officially recognise the Persian Gulf as either the "Arabian Gulf" or the "Gulf of Arabia."

Arabs defeated and conquered Persia and Arabized the Persians with culture and religion.

Therefore there is no problem to call it Arabian Gulf.

It’s surrounded by more Arab nations than Persian ones (just Iran).
Islam is just a layer of our identity (for those who follow it), we're Iranian and Asian as well (many of us before or before not being muzlim).

In a war of agression against Iran by USA or Izrael, Muzlims will maybe support Israel to defeat us faster, they attacked us 1400 years ago after they saw we're weak (excactly after 28 years wars against Romans and the Justinian Plague).

So fortunately, we're not following muzlim brotherhood or liberation propaganda anymore like in the past and have a healthy dose of awareness of our interests.

We've only 1 direct partially Arab neighbour (Iraq), out of 7 countries, so I don't know what you mean by "surrounded". Why you insist on changing historical names to British colonial ones?

Well, it has been known by many names, including the Turks calling it the Gulf of Basra, for example, and attempts have been made on both sides to reconcile on the issue, with no success, and it remains a contentious issue, as I said, depending on what coast one belongs to.

See here for some context:

There is already an "Arabian Sea " ! Why they need an Arabian Gulf !!

Yesterday there was a massive pro-Persian Gulf campaign on X, which saw for the first time since the revolution all Iranians united under the same banner

This is a rare time where we have seen all Iranians united behind one message and i hope this will wake up some people of the diaspora

The #PersianGulf trend reached 400K at its peak

I think this is a strategy from trump to put more pressure on the reformists, to get more concessions and one-sided deals from them

He brought it up to get something from the reformists at any cost, so later people won't say that the reformists negotiated but ended up with nothing, and on top of that, trump even changed the name of the Persian Gulf.

So, it's basically a way to pressure the reformists and extract more concessions from them

Trump is so foxy

Gulf is a downgrade from.sea !!
fun fact there actually is an Arab gulf in Egyptian shore in Mediterranean Sea

oh my gosh this is probably one of the most ridiculous saga about the hormuz naming rights.

IMHO it is both Arabian gulf and Persian Gulf.. one half of the hormuz is the Persian gulf this is ground reality nobody can deny it while the other half is the Arabian gulf which is also undebatable

That's not how that works!

Back this up with historical documents and maps

1. Americans are shit at Geography anyway.

2. They spell loads of English words incorrectly. They even pronounce them incorrectly too.

Alooomimum.
There was a video showing American people trying to situate France or Germany on a map

Some of they situated them in Antarctica and Australia

If done it means saudi and uae petrodollars want to change the geographical reality. Then ofcourse, in a justified response, I hope we have few educated Iran-first muzlimz inside the government who wake up and start to use Iranian geographic terms, such as "Mazun":

Mazun was a Sasanian province in Late Antiquity, which corresponded to modern-day Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and the northern half of Oman.
