The Iraq and Afghanistan wars occurred before the pivot to Asia. After 2011, the US never involved itself with a massive invasive war bc it started to shift immense amounts of military assets to China. This is also why China needed to start building military bases in the South China Sea. This was in reaction to the massive military buildup of the US navy in East Asia and China had to counter their potential in choking its trade routes. This is also why Chinas naval buildup accelerated during those years and why China now has the largest navy by ships in the world and China significantly upgraded the advancement of its navy to the point that it possesses far more modern and updated ships than the US today.Huh... come on, they have troops everywhere and bases all over right this moment
Did we imagine Iraq and Afghanistan wars?
If China was a weak country, the US would’ve already bombed the hell out of by the mid 2010s. But because China is so powerful both militarily and economically, the US has had to conduct covert wars like the tech sanctions, trade war, Hong Kong riots, Uighur genocide psy ops, 24/7 anti China propaganda, China India border conflicts, the Quad, Aukus, promoting Taiwan independence and arguably Covid and framing China for Covid.
But I’m sure none of this ever even crossed your mind.
