Justified shooting then. Interfering with a LE employee carrying out a lawful order, illegal use of force/assault against LE employee. I mean, the moment you get hands on - you know its going to go south. Especially when you consider the risks that LEOs face in countries like the US where people may be armed.

Unfortunately, some don't see it that way.

Body cams are the best invention since sliced bread. As for violence against police officers, this is a common problem when some in society forget their social contract to the state. I know we all often talk about human rights but forget human rights are both qualified and limited - there is no human right that cannot be overruled if one person's human right such as say "right to life" which is an absolute right - would interfere with the same human right of a larger number of people.

Dispatch audio reveals possible new details in shooting

In newly obtained audio from Thursday afternoon, a Portland police dispatcher reports to officers that a caller told them ICE agents shot him and his wife. The caller says he was shot in the arm and his wife was shot in the chest. FOX 12 has not been able to confirm this information yet. But the details of the dispatch call line up with the details of the shooting. DHS confirmed the agents involved in the shooting were Border Patrol, not ICE.

I am biased in that I have interacted with quite a few over the course of my career. So my response is no.

Why? Because, the agents I have interacted with are white, black, brown, male, female. They are like us. They have a job to do and want nothing more than to go home to their families every night. Much like us.

Yet, you have faction on the left doing everything they can to dox, expose, harass, intimidate, berate, and obstruct the agents in any manner possible. All because they are doing the job they were tasked to do.

All I'm suggesting is that the media is busy portraying an image of a person that they want you to see while at the same time painting the government in an image they want you to see. To quote Phaedrus, "Things are not always as they seem; the first appearance deceives many."

Why is the media a factor? A large portion of the country is divided on the side of either the victim or ICE. The public have no training on how to handle an encounter with LEO. So the onus is on LEO to stay within legal bounds while conforming to DOJ policies and state laws. The head of Homeland security, the President have already characterized the victim as a leftist lunatic and blamed the victim for the tragedy. You may agree with them but I want a joint investigation by federal and state agencies to do their thing. If a jury finds the ICE agent innocent/ guilty of a crime then we have our answer.

Video from the shooters phone. Both women the victim and her partner were being an annoying nuisance and impeding. I don't think anyone can argue the victims intention to kill agents. But they did succeed in upsetting these agents. You can even hear an agent call her a "f**** itch" after the shots were fired.

More reports coming out that this wasn't some isolated incident. Witnesses reporting she was following and interfering in ICE operations all day. If those witness accounts (people who were part of the "protests") are accurate, hard to claim she was simply trying to drive away and go to work as other reports are saying.

Then there is the matter of the positioning of her SUV. Obvious to a non-cop like me she was intentionally blocking the ICE vehicle.

I don't see how that justifies her killing in anyway.

The media is and will always be a factor. Especially as long as this President remains in office.

no not all ICE personnel wear body cams the department stated they do not have the necessary funding to equip all active field agents with a body cam.

Dude, is there a crime to be a "Law Enforcement Watcher" or one of those "Legal Observer" I was 2nd Amendment checked by some of the right-wing gun nuts like tens of times when I was a cop, like this, should I go arrest them all?
