Supposed Timeline

From an email, someone who may or may not have access to the full OEMC tapes and dispatch logs. Where you see the "[...]" we are attempting to translate the abbreviations so those unaware can follow along:

  • After the HSI shooting, CPD responded en mass. Cmdr JM (009) called Deputy Chief GS about next steps. D/C GS called Chief JH who ordered her to remove all personnel from the incident. Not our problem. They can handle.” OEMC dispatched the message to withdraw.

Lt. JB called Hein out over the air. Lt. JB had OEMC repeat the order and make a notation for the record.

The Sup consulted w the COS [chief of staff? - SCC] (who was the previous GC [General Counsel? -SCC]). COS explained that our policies mandate we assist (sanctity of life and deescalation).

Sup immediately ordered a tactical response and countermanded Hein’s order.

An incident team from multiple district tac teams and 3rd watch (009) re-engaged. As CPD formed the perimeter, activist began throwing rocks, bottles and other objects.

HSI notified CPD they would be deploying gas (but most our members were not prepared). Once gas was deployed, our members were pulled off the line because of the [l]ack of gear.
If....and that's a BIG IF....this timeline is remotely accurate, Beat 999 was perhaps the smartest person on scene, having OEMC repeat the order and get it on the record where it came from and who gave it. Intelligent move from a guy who pretty much destroyed the Narcotics Unit at Homan.

Gold Medal CYA there.

Larritorious countermanded the withdrawal order and ordered a tactical response?

Silver Medal CYA by Snelling.

Which means:

  • Welcome to FALL GUY TOWN! Population: Jon **** Hein
Don't know who his phone call is, but hoping it all gets exposed moving forward.

Also concerning, the last bit of timeline - Homeland Security notified CPD that gas would be deployed....but there is a ton of video out there showing CPD (009 tact in particular) suffering the effects of the tear gas because they were ordered not to bring gas masks (or riot helmets) along.

Shades of the Columbus Statue - politicians and brass-holes more fearful about the optics of being prepared for a riot than actually protecting Officers from the riot. This ought to be an FOP Safety Violation Grievance at the very least, but God only knows what's going on over on Washington Blvd this week.

Well they should GTF out of the way. I don't have respect for these Chicago LEOs that stand down/follow a stand down order when ICE agents are being shot at and rammed by SUV. Ice agents should see Chicago PD as possible threat and definitely as obstructionist of justice.

The usual suspects are making it sound like ICE deliberately tear gassed CPD. I highly doubt that.

Too much of the CPD leadership are politicians. As a result, the rank and file know the stand down orders are wrong but they don't want to risk their careers and pensions.

In other news, Mayor Johnson missed the part about the Supremacy Clause in the Constitution. His "ICE free" zones are irrelevant.

EXCLUSIVE: ICE Nabs Nearly 100 Illegal Migrant Truckers As Admin Cracks Down On Industry

Federal immigration authorities nabbed nearly 100 illegal migrants driving 18-wheelers off a single highway as the Trump administration continues to crack down on migrant commercial drivers.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, working alongside the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, arrested 91 illegal migrants operating a commercial motor vehicle with commercial driver licenses (CDL) during a three-day operation along I-40, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed to the Daily Caller News Foundation. Altogether, deportation officers took 120 illegal migrants into custody for immigration violations.

The Trump administration is crediting the 287(g) program, a partnership between local law enforcement and ICE, for the successful haul.

“ICE’s 287(g) program clearly demonstrates how federal and local law enforcement agencies can work together to make America safe again,” Madison Sheahan, ICE Deputy Director, said in a statement obtained by the DCNF. “Illegal aliens have no business operating 18 wheelers on America’s highways.”

“Our roads are now safer with these illegal aliens no longer behind the wheel,” Sheahan continued. “We encourage more state and local law enforcement to sign 287(g) agreements to help remove public safety threats and receive reimbursement funds available to our law enforcement partners.”

The operation — which spanned between September 22 and 25 — nabbed illegal migrants allegedly associated with money laundering, human smuggling, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, illegal re-entry into the U.S. and a litany of other alleged crimes, according to DHS. In addition to the highway operation, two illegal migrants were apprehended at a nearby marijuana grow operation.

The major bust follows a dramatic crackdown on foreign truckers as multiple serious crashes allegedly caused by illegal migrant commercial drivers grab national headlines.

An illegal migrant truck driver from India allegedly took an unlawful U-turn on a Florida turnpike in August, blocking all lanes and instantly killing three people in a car that smashed into his tractor-trailer. That same month in Maine, another illegal migrant driving a box truck ran off the road, causing two passengers to be hospitalized, amid other examples across the country.

uh oh for the Left...

National Poll Finds Both Broad Support for Deportation Plans and Concerning Support for Political Violence

A wide-ranging poll from Harvard CAPS and Harris Poll examined voter views on numerous current events and policies, finding majority support for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants and also troubling levels of tolerance of political violence.

Pollsters asked 2,413 registered voters to weigh in on whether they support or oppose a series of President Donald Trump’s policies.

The survey found that overall 78 percent of voters, including 69 percent of Democrats, support deporting illegal immigrants who have committed additional crimes after their illegal entry.

A smaller, but still significant majority, 56 percent, supported deporting all illegal immigrants, regardless of whether they committed additional crimes. That 56 percent included 36 percent of Democratic voters and 54 percent of independents.

I can, off the top of my head, name several areas in America where the support for the expulsion of illegals is nearly 100%.

Trucking advised to audit all drivers to limit CDL liability

Pressure building to phase out non-domiciled drivers, transportation attorney warns

Trucking and logistics companies should be taking immediate steps to mitigate increased exposure to drivers with non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses – including an audit of all existing employee or contract drivers, a regulations expert advises.

That advice, included in a legal alert by Greg Reed, a partner at Hanson Bridgett LLP, comes in the wake of an emergency rule issued in September by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration overhauling who is eligible for a non-domiciled CDL.

“Both the regulatory language in FMCSA’s interim final rule, as well as Secretary Duffy’s remarks at the press conference announcing it, cast doubt on the legitimacy of all non-domiciled CDLs,” Reed told FreightWaves in an interview.

“If that holds true, the liability and risk has already increased dramatically for any carrier using these drivers or a brokerage that works with those carriers.”

US Marine’s Parents Detained by ICE While Visiting Military Base

Federal immigration agents reportedly detained the parents of a U.S. Marine during a visit to Camp Pendleton, California, leading to the father's subsequent deportation.

Esteban Rios and Luisa Rodriguez, residents of Oceanside, California, were attempting to visit their pregnant daughter, who is married to another Marine stationed at the base, when they were taken into custody by ICE agents, NBC 7 San Diego reported.

Their son, Steve Rios, said he joined the military because of his parents, Esteban Rios and Luisa Rodriguez.

"It was just making them proud, right? I’ve seen all the struggles they’ve gone through," Steve told NBC 7 San Diego. "The least I could do, right, and serve this country and try to, you know, put some time in."

Newsweek has contacted the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for comment via email.

Why It Matters

President Donald Trump's administration is pushing forward with plans to deport millions of migrants without legal status as part of an aggressive immigration strategy. Newsweek has revealed multiple cases of U.S. veterans and active service members who have had family members and loved ones detained by immigration enforcers.

What To Know

The family expressed distress over the situation, emphasizing the emotional impact of the separation.

Steve Rios said that when his parents attempted to enter the base, ICE agents stopped them and detained both Esteban Rios and Luisa Rodriguez. The family insists that neither has a criminal record and that both have pending green card applications, sponsored by Steve Rios, as well as work visas while they await approval.

"It was scary," Steve Rios said. "It was scary because my whole life, I've kind of just, it's been in the back of my head."

He added that his parents arrived from Mexico over 30 years ago and spent decades working relentlessly, washing cars and cleaning houses from dawn to dusk—to give their family a chance at a better life.

"My brother texted me that they got stopped. And as soon as I heard that, I just started, like, bawling," their daughter Ashley Rios, who was waiting for them with her husband, told NBC 7 San Diego. "He asked what was wrong, and I said that my parents were getting taken."

Their parents were initially taken downtown but released a few hours later with ankle monitors. They were instructed to check in with ICE on Thursday, and when they did, they were detained again after waiting several hours. At the time, Steve’s father was wearing a red shirt and a white hat reading "Proud dad of a U.S. Marine."

On Friday morning, Steve spoke briefly with his father, who said they were being held in the basement of the federal building before being moved to the Otay Mesa Detention Center. Esteban Rios was deported later that day, Steve said.

They snuck in 30 years ago and have "pending Green card applications"

yeah, they probably got around to filling them out last month.

That marine should be deported too.

hey he was a good boy...no idea why he was arrested.

ICE detaining 13-year old boy from Massachusetts in a Virginia facility

The boy is the son of Brazilian family with a pending asylum case the family’s attorney tells The Globe have legal authorization to work in the United States.

His mom showed up at the Everett Police Department Thursday to pick her son up, but was told after waiting about an-hour-and-a-half that ICE had taken him.

Outrage ensues when 13-year-old is arrested by ICE

The mother of the teenager told the media that she didn't know why he was arrested.

Everett mayor responds to controversial arrest of 13-year-old

"Here are the facts," she wrote on X. "He posed a public safety threat with an extensive rap sheet including violent assault with a dangerous weapon, battery, breaking and entering, destruction of property. He was in possession of a firearm and 5-7 inch knife when arrested."

Officials claim the Everett teen detained by ICE had a gun. His lawyer says that’s no reason to take him out of Mass
