It has started.

Possibly.

There was a NOTAM issued a week or two as well.

It is illegal for the USA to declare a NOTAM over Venezuela as the airspace over a country is sovereign and under the control of the country itself.

Pedantic i know, since the very concept of war against Venezuela is illegal as well there is no just basis or cause for a war itself.

The President does have a history of backing up his "FAFO" comments.

Maduro is between a rock and a hard place; he stays, he dies, he leaves, he's a dead man walking. In situations like this, they would rather go down swinging.

But this isn't about him; it's a Russia-China nexus the U.S. wants out of the Western hemisphere.

Law of nature, the strongest aren't confined to rules, but to give the weak a semblance of rule of law.

The likely scenarios are this... Maduro wants to talk with Trump which Trump will say yes since he likes talking to everybody and it will be held in DC. After talks Trump will be chummy with Maduro and call him a great guy and air strikes are averted. Other scenario is Trump does a limited strike on cartels, symbolic strike, to get Maduros attention which works and he comes to DC to talk and after talks Trump calls Maduro a great guy. :LOL:

dude they will get pounded no chance they can do anything

Usa can easily take on Venezuela, they only have around 15 fighter jets v Usa 2000+, plus the massive submarines and military. What Usa will do is create pressure and hurt Venezuela economy, slowly internal coup will happen and democratic pro Usa puppet forces will overtake the country.

@F-22Raptor

This is going to be one of the most consequential invasions in human history.

As it would change things massively. The Americans will gain control over 30% of the World´s oil reserves by taking Venezuela.. Venezuela has the largest oil reserve in the world and 8th most natural gas reserve.

This would be like a massive comeback by the Americans because they wanna avoid becoming a dying empire and this will be like them taking anabolic steroids on epic proportions and will give boost to their economy, dollar and hegemony for another 3 decades or something.. This will be a massive boost.

The Chinese and Russians are probably having meetings right now because they can´t simply allow Venezuela to fall

China and Russia will not do anything. They couldn't defend Syria, Gaddafi, Saddam and even Iran, Venezuela is so far away and in Usa dominated region. Usa wants to make sure they control all of America so they have total dominance for the rest of the century.

The problem is, such an internal movement does not actually exist; there is opposition to the Maduro regime, but their number is not strong (Low ten to mid-ten thousand) and too spread out, unless there are US forces supporting an uprising as we did with the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, this is going to get put down quickly.

If US were to do anything, it's mostly just going to be more extrajudicial killing around Venezuela and there are probably nothing coming out of that..
