Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

Its illegal. If anyone else does it they will be declared a terrorists and trouble makers. I guess might is right.
Might is always right, the world always work on that those Geneva Conventions, ICC/ICJ's human rights violations are for 3rd world countries.

So US internal institutions give search warrant to seized a Tanker belongs to a sovereign country in international water, where US jurisdiction doesn't exists ? It’s like saying Chinese version of FBI issue a search warrant for a Taiwan Tanker, so they seized it in international waters using force, like Really?
Well in the latter case Taiwan is actually part of China. Venezuela isn’t us territory

I was only using the example because Americans love to use the Taiwan example, so again question is Chinese FBI issue a search a seized warrant for a Taiwanese Tanker, Will China be justified to actually use force to seize a Tanker in international water? or we have different rules for different countries? I really would like someone to use twisted jargon to come justify the actions.

Again it’s a US sanctioned tanker, trafficking illicit oil in support of foreign terrorist organizations.

Taiwan is an independent prosperous nation, not ruled by narco terrorists. There’s no comparison between the two nations.

"US Sanctioned" again you Sanction it yourself, and "Foreign Terrorists" declared by who? UN ? I don't think so, you declare a country and its leader Terrorists without UN approval, or anyone else backings, then you sanction a tanker and seized it in International water without any legal proceedings, so what China Declare Taiwan its territory which they do and seize the tanker saying its our tanker ? last I check Venezuela is also a independent nation, with large oil reserve, yes its not as prosperous as Taiwan but there are many Sovereign nations which are not so does that give US right to bully a nation into submission? Again cite me a international law which says that US can seize a Tanker for a sovereign nation in international waters or any other country for that matter, everyone knows that what US is doing it will not allow anyone else to do specially not China or Russian. Also calling a nation rule by narco Terrorist but your own President is a convicted criminal and indited a bunch of times lol

It’s a US sanctioned tanker and a search warrant was executed by the FBI, Homeland Security and the US Coast Guard.
Congratulations!!! You are the new pirates.

The English acquired this reputation in the Iberian Peninsula in the centuries following the Age of Exploration. Now, in the 21st century, you have inherited the English legacy.

Anas Alhajji of Energy Outlook Advisors asked several key questions after the U.S. seized the tanker:

  • Who is the target?
  • What is the impact on global oil markets?
  • Shipping?
  • Tanker rates?

"I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag."

— Smedley D. Butler, USMC 1933

On the afternoon of December 11, Eastern Time, White House Press Secretary Karine held a press conference regarding the seizure of the oil tanker. Karine stated that the vessel had previously delivered oil subject to U.S. sanctions to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Karine did not specify the receiving country or the final destination of the tanker. A reporter asked about the purpose of the U.S. seizure of the oil.
