Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

Trump: "We lost no aircraft; everything came back. One helicopter was hit pretty hard, but we got it back." "We have a few injuries but no deaths on our side is really amazing."
Anytime an operation of this magnitude and complexity is carried out, especially at night; to come away with no losses is indeed amazing.

Talk about adding fuel to the fire.

Saying they must give up their oil wealth and now humiliating their leader so they will start to like him even more

This is going to frighten our allies too

💀💀
The whole thing is a pathetic charade for MAGA consumption.
Legally speaking, no US court has the jurisdiction to put him on trial as as a non-US citizen living in a different country, he was not subject to US federal laws. Not to mention that as a political leader, he has immunity under international law.

I conducted the operation. I claim no losses. Trust me bro. 😎

the US already tried that in Iran in 1980 and failed

the US military is incredibly impressive. but Trump seems to be using risky operations to distract from his involvement with Epstein's sex trafficking. eventually his luck will end and something will go wrong in one of these operations. Like Israel's failed attempt to kill Hamas leaders in Qatar, which backfired horribly.

That was decades ago. They can kidnap Khamenei today but it will backfire in region and won't be worth it.

Trump is a mega narcassist he's increasingly losing his health. He feels as he approaches death he's losing control. The guy is crazy and will want to do something grand before he dies.

The Jews know this and want to manipulate it best to their interests. Ironically the Jews are probably worried too.

As a mega narcassist he doesn't feel respected enough as is and may do something very stupid. He did tell his supporters to storm the Capitol and they almost killed US politicians.

Putin and Xi whatever his name is are just putting on a facade they're probably psychopaths too but not dumb enough to let delusions of grandeur take over. Trump is.

It is always better to underplay such prowess, and let any potential opponents continue to underestimate US capabilities.

I'm sure Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is happy to know that. Or Daniel Noriega.

The US-led forces suffered a setback and China-led forces seized Seoul in an impressive show of force but the US-led forces regrouped in Pusan and recovered South Korea from China-led forces eventually. Both camps fought well but American achievement is more impressive because it is in the communist backyard where communist forces are at their strongest. No distant power in the world could replicate American accomplishment in the Korean War. Not in the 1950s, not today. Therefore, the claim that the US can only fight and bully weak countries is false in view of historical findings.

This is the difference between a superpower and all others.

The Chinese here claim it is futile to defend Venezuela because it is on the other side of the planet.

Yet to the US being on the other side of the planet just means "Challenge Accepted"

U.S. Arrests Head Of State For First Time Since 1990

Effingham, IL / Effingham Radio
Jan 3, 2026 | 10:32 AM

Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- President Trump says the U.S. has carried out “a large-scale strike against Venezuela.” Trump also announced that the U.S. military has captured Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and his wife, and said they are being flown out of the country.

The capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro comes exactly 36 years since the last time the U.S. arrested a Latin American leader. In 1990, the U.S. captured Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega after invading the country in December 1989. Like Maduro, Noriega had been indicted on drug trafficking charges. Noriega spent 20 years in U.S. custody before being extradited to France. He died in Panama in 2017.

President Trump is basically calling his own abduction by a foreign power a demonstration of their military might? 🙄

Trumpy is abit like this guy

Transparent and to the point, he wants the oil and make his billionaire buddies more rich, himself too.

He likes loud bangs and allot of noise, his hollow inside, lacks substance. Thats why if you hold your ground, like most bullies he will back off. The question is how long can Venezuela hold on without folding and becoming a US puppet state.

they are scared.

if you keep everything china has. (chokehoold on rare earth, industrial capacity, naval size) but swapped out the population and leadership for an american one

they would have invaded taiwan yesterday

the han have everything but courage

they will build another 100 ships and do another 50 exercises but never pull the trigger

Again, that is quite reasonable and responsible

The last thing the world needs is for China to start acting like the west, the consequences of western actions is often chaos

China doesn't need to be a chaotic actor

When it's becoming the manufacturing engin of the world

China understands where it's power lies

It also understands the demographic and others challenges the U.S and west faces and is content build up it's manufacturing and military whilst the U.S lurches from one war to another
