Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

Beijing could unload U.S. debt holdings a move equal to a financial nuclear bomb.
China is just a paper tiger. All talk & has absolutely nothing to show except for its economy:

For example, in the mid-17th century, the East India Company began to gradually invade and colonize India under the pretext of protecting property.
Great analogy.

Americans very much behaving like their old British masters.

For further context, the Battle of Plassey was in 1757, where the British East India Company commenced its righteous and just march to acquire its rightful property in the subcontinent.

It wasn't long after in 1775 that American colonists decided to cast off the very same yoke of British imperialism under General George Washington.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in a statement in response to Trump: "I strongly urge the United States to stop its threats against a close historical ally, and against another country and another people who have clearly stated with great emphasis that it is not for sale."The full statement: “I am compelled to say this very directly to the United States:There is absolutely no sense in talking about it being necessary for the United States to take control of Greenland. The United States has no legal basis for annexing any of the three countries in the Kingdom. The Kingdom of Denmark – and therefore Greenland – is part of NATO, and is therefore covered by the security guarantees provided by the Alliance. We already have a defense agreement today between the Kingdom and the United States that grants America wide access to Greenland. Moreover, we, on behalf of the Kingdom, have invested significantly in the security of the Arctic region. Therefore, I strongly urge the United States to stop its threats against a close historical ally, and against another country and another people who have clearly stated with great emphasis that it is not for sale.”—-Note that America has a military base in Greenland, which has self-governance under the rule of the Kingdom of Denmark.

The World: We have to do something about US. Let's kidnap US President & then run America indefinitely until a saner President is found. :D

Everything you mentioned is subjective and based in an emotional context.

The results speak for themselves. China is more powerful than ever. Period. It is far more powerful today, than last year, than two years ago and multiple times more powerful than 2020.

If China chimped out after every incident in the last several decades, do you think it would be where it is today?

China's leaders know what they are doing. The results speak for themselves. As you can see, the world is a jungle so it takes a high level of intelligence and management to emerge at the top of the food chain.
This view is rooted in Cold War mentality, obsessed with the fantasy of bloc confrontation. In times of peace, all these countries are extremely pro-Western and kowtow to the United States. When they run into trouble, they expect someone to stand up for them — but how is that possible?

For China, the top priority is to focus on developing its own strength and improving the living standards of its people. When its strength is sufficient enough, it can resolve all issues without relying on alliances with anyone. This is the most correct path forward.

We're now officially in the era of Neo Colonialism / Imperialism:
Trump and his team didn’t even try creating a coalition either at home or abroad. By simply landing troops in another nation and decapitating its leadership, Trump has done Russia and China a great service by trashing, yet again, guardrails that limit other nations from running amok. International law? Pointless. The United Nations? Never heard of it. The Congress of the United States? Well, they’re good folks, but according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, they couldn’t be told ahead of time, for security reasons. (He said this while standing next to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, a fountain of security violations.) Putin and Xi must have watched Trump’s presser while nodding and taking notes.

The world we live in was formed from centuries of Western domination. Because of this, the US enjoys great structural advantages and has great control over the elites and decision making bodies of more than half the world.

I think the leaders of China know this more than anything. They operate strategically and carefully, but they build China's strength block by block and every year it increases. Compared to even five years ago, China is far more powerful than ever.

Even if China was to become the world's sole superpower, it would still require the backing of Israel like US does these days...

That's something China will not accept because that is basically enslaving yourself and it's only a blessing with a very finite period because in the end, the parasites will eat up your country from the inside. Look at the US and how much it's been devoured by it's "elites".

China plans to become a superpower without enslaving itself to Zionist control, which is a very difficult task but not unachievable. This is why China is not going to chimp out every time an incident happens.

China's leaders know what they are doing.
That's right. They're quite busy reverse-engineering Western technology to "compete" with... Western technology. That's basically China's model of becoming the world's next superpower by mass manufacturing & flooding the international market with Chinese-made products. 🙄

I don't understand. So the US has the right to invade countries when their assets are nationalized? Does this apply only to the US or to all countries?
This is not about 'right' because a 'right' implies enforcement to protect that 'right'. For example, the 'right to free speech' has the government protect that freedom and to punish any restriction of it.

Does any country have the 'right' to be free? To be sovereign? Not really. We can argue that 'right' at the philosophical and moral stages, but at the legal, which is the lowest stage, who can enforce that right? No one. Not even the UN, which is a recent development in light of history. The bottom line is that only you*, whatever country you* are, can protect that freedom to exist and to be sovereign. You* exists either by your own defence or by the benevolence of others. See Luxembourg and Cuba for the latter.

This is not about 'right' but about being prominent and even dominates if necessary. That is where the original Monroe Doctrine came from. The US, by sheer military might, asserted back then that we will dominates if necessary. Russia said the same with Ukraine. The Trump Admin is not doing anything out of the ordinary.

I strongly recommend this book...

A Rage to Conquer: Twelve Battles That Changed the Course of Western History

Very enlightening.

Here is one thing I learned from that book that I have to admit am embarrassed not understanding before...

We all know of the phrase "war is the continuation of politics by other means" and casually used it. It turned out the original translation/interpretation is actually: War is the continuation of POLICY WITH other means.

The error of the words is serious.

Policy is one-way. Politics is two-way. In other words, politics exists when there is a conflict of policies. I have an idea and you* think another. So we negotiate towards a compromise. But what if no compromise is reached? Then each of us fall back to our respective policies and tries to execute them.

The sad part for smaller countries that lives next to larger neighbor(s) is that they have to live with the policies of their larger neighbor(s) who can enforce their policies and often at the expense of smaller countries. Remember: Policy is one-way.

The Donroe Doctrine is a continuation of the Monroe Doctrine, with slight modifications, of course.

*Note: the 'you' is generic and not personal.
