"President Trump has been very clear and consistent. He is prepared to use every instrument of American power to stop drugs from flooding our country and to bring those responsible to justice. The Maduro regime is not the legitimate government of Venezuela. It is a narco-terrorism cartel," Leavitt stated.

Last month, the U.S. Department of Justice announced a $25 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Nicolás Maduro. After the announcement, the reward was doubled to $50 million. The Trump administration accuses Maduro of leading the so-called Los Soles Cartel, which Trump has classified as an international terrorist organization.

Are you guys in South America expecting military conflict with this move?

It's quite difficult to say. The traditional media here is controlled by the US and "Israel" and they are trying to sell a narrative that Trump wants to fight "narco-terrorists" but no one here believes it; everyone knows it's a lie. On the internet, you can find experts (outside the system) who say there may be an attempted coup d'état, but not a conventional war like Russia vs. Ukraine. Below is a video in Portuguese (1 hour long) by Breno Altman, an anti-Zionist Jew (anti-Israel, very famous here in Brazil) who is persecuted by the media, justice system, and the "Israel" lobby. He talks about what could happen in Venezuela and how this could affect Brazil, since Trump is threatening Brazil as well (the video is in Portuguese, use subtitles for your language) :

The US is deploying 4,000 Marines and sailors to the southern Caribbean along with a nuclear-powered attack submarine, spy planes and destroyers. The move comes after Trump signed a secret authorized the use of military force to carry out operations in Latin America under the guise of targeting drug cartels. Experts believe the goal is to threaten Venezuela.

Maybe but the ships aren’t there anymore, for instance the USS Iwo Jima is listed and it is currently back in Norfolk Virginia.

"🇺🇸🇻🇪 Secretary of State Marco Rubio talks about why the US is preparing to invade Venezuela

Russia, China, and Iran are the cause, not the drug cartels as the Trump administration claims.

"Maduro's elections were completely rigged. Russia's presence in Venezuela is noticeable, and Iran's influence is growing. The Iranians are building drone manufacturing plants there — right in our hemisphere. Additionally, the Venezuelan regime issues illegitimate but genuine passports to Hezbollah forces."

The Trump administration keeps moving the goalposts for the reasons of their planned invasion against Venezuela. The last I know sovereignty was each country's individual right. So how can Venezuela be penalized by having a relation with Russia and Iran?

Trump ordered strike on suspected drug boat to send a message, Rubio says

The administration has not provided a legal authority or justification for the attack Tuesday that killed 11 people.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro “has some decisions to make” after the lethal U.S. strike on a boat in the Caribbean Sea that President Donald Trump said was operated by drug smugglers connected to the authoritarian leader.

NOTE: Trump ordered the killing of 10 civilians on an old boat and said they were "drug traffickers linked to Maduro"

That's an Italian carrier not the US. The Cavour.

The USS Iwo Jima is more likely to be full of Marine tilt-rotors

The Venezuelan government kicked off the activities of the new recruits of the civil militia on Friday, rallying with supporters who drove motorcycles across the capital, Caracas. As tensions escalate between Venezuela and the U.S., Nicolás Maduro denied he or his government are involved in drug trade, one of the allegations the State Department made before U.S. warships were deployed into the Caribbean. The Pentagon says two Venezuelan F-16 fighter jets flew near a US Navy vessel in international waters Thursday in what they call a 'highly provocative' move. This marks a new escalation in the two countries' standoff over Washington's Caribbean deployment.

During a trip to neighboring Ecuador on Thursday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio underlined the US's increasingly aggressive stance towards Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. In Caracas, Venezualan President Nicolas Maduro says 'imperialism is launching a new attack' aimed at regime change.

He insists his country will stand firm -- but will he be relying on China for help? The US deployment in the Caribbean has dramatically escalated tensions with Venezuela, whose president Nicolas Maduro has vowed to protect his country's sovereignty against what he calls 'US imperial aggression'. But Caracas is increasingly dependent on China when it comes to facing off against the US.
