The MAGA has become the neocon, and they don't trust the Vietcong for not being 100% loyal to the US.

Yeah, you better to be careful about the mid-range missiles, since China can easily intercept those obsolete missiles, but it poses a threat to Vietnam.
Yes very possible
The typhoons cover the entire Vietnam mainland while only parts of China. No, those midrange land-attack are very powerful not obsolete at all. Very dangerous.

That’s a bit irony with US patent.
Vietnam apparently develops long range cruise missiles in response to US deployment of Typhoon missiles in the Philippines.
The MAGA say they target China, but we don’t know if they mean what they say or simple lie.
I don't think the Yanks really trust Vietnam esp with Vietnam Communist state. They think they can use Vietnam as a useful pawn against China. So don't be too excited of forming possible alliance with US.

That’s math impossibly. If anything then possible if the US arms us to the teeth to the same level of Japan.

Japan is a US slave colony. Does Vietnam also wants to be in the same boat losing sovereignty to US like hosting its troops ?

You think we have a choice? That’s all will be part of negotiations, be slave to China or America. I don’t know if anything over and over again worth of millions of deaths?

Vietnam is no slave to China, it has no troops in Vietnam. Just Vietnamese industry is tied to or dependent on Chinese supply chains now. If you people don't like, form your own or with others, China won't have fuss.

Locally-produced VFMPV 7 launched in Indonesia.

VinFast announced that it has begun local production of its VF MPV 7 battery-powered electric vehicle at its Subang plant in West Java, Indonesia. The Vietnamese battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer said this represents a “significant step forward in the company’s global manufacturing expansion strategy and reinforces its long-term commitment to one of Southeast Asia’s most promising BEV markets.”

VinFast made the announcement during a four-day VF MPV 7 customer experience campaign held at Central Park Mall in the capital city Jakarta, where it offered test drives and hands-on activities, allowing potential customers to directly experience the vehicles. The company is also offering the locally-made models’ first 2,000 customers a special cashback incentive of IDR 16 million (US$ 900), while also offering free charging at V-Green charging stations across Indonesia until the end of March 2029.

The VF MPV 7 is the premium version of its Limo Green, a 3-row, 7-seater MPV engineered specifically to target taxi fleet operators. It was first introduced in Indonesia in February this year as a model imported from Vietnam.

The VF MPV 7 is driven by an electric motor with a maximum output of 150 kW (201 hp), powered by a 60.2 kWh battery pack providing a range of up to 450 km on a full charge. The vehicle is also equipped with intelligent and connected technologies, including a virtual assistant with Indonesian voice control, remote vehicle management and location services via a smartphone app, and a range of active and passive safety features.

Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said in a statement: “The VF MPV 7 is a strategic product within VinFast’s electric vehicle portfolio in Indonesia, reaffirming our long-term investment commitment and sustainable development vision for the market. The rollout of the first VF MPV 7 from the Subang plant marks an important milestone in our localization journey, enhancing competitiveness while delivering high-quality, intelligent, and accessible electric vehicles tailored to the real-world needs of modern urban families in Indonesia.”

  • "No contradiction" in solving maritime disputes, improved ties
  • Vietnam won't "pick sides" between U.S. and China
  • No alternative but to meet high growth target for Vietnam
  • Lam's high profile continues in Singapore
SINGAPORE, May 30 (Reuters) -"We do not pick sides," Communist Party General Secretary and President To Lam told Reuters late on Friday in his ‌first interview with an international media outlet in his current role.

He said there was no contradiction in seeking stronger relations with China and ensuring progress in solving the long-simmering territorial disputes across the South China Sea.

"If we can maintain good relations and dialogue, then all disagreements can be resolved," Lam said, speaking through an interpreter.

"Having good relations with China, safeguarding our sovereignty and settlement of issues in the East Sea are mutually reinforcing, not mutually exclusive," Lam said, using Vietnam's name for the South China Sea.

He reiterated Vietnam's long-standing position of wanting to solve disputes on the basis of international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Lam's remarks come as he moves swiftly to raise Vietnam's diplomatic profile, attempting to simultaneously boost ties with China, the U.S. and other large powers while overseeing an ambitious high-growth economic agenda.

Lam described competition between the U.S. and China as an "objective reality".

"We do not approach our relations with major powers through the prism of security," he said, reflecting Vietnam's long-standing flexible "bamboo diplomacy".

"We need good relations with major countries so that we can jointly address essential, important issues."
