Vietnam Defense and News forum

You mean design and appearance of Chinese destroyers?
Yes, it looks like it’s the case.
I favor US Aegis destroyers, but obviously there are China fans in Vietnam with traditional thinking, copy from the northern country is a safe bet.
US Aegis destroyers are outdated now and they look messy and ugly.

The selling point if the design is proven and still effective in today’s wars?
B52 bomber looks ugly but effective.
From what we know, Vietnam future warships are based on 2,500 tons Gepard frigates but much larger and twice the weight. The ship will incorporate Russia technology, adding domestic requirements. Most likely we will add some technology from China and the US.

It looks much a very old radar that’s sold to Laos.

Who wins Vinfast cars or Japanese cars in terms of safety?
Vietnamese cars even the small VF3 are built like a tank. Even after incident being squeezed between two trucks nobody inside is hurt.
The car frame is designed to obsorb massive kinetic energy caused at impact.

That’s called backwards evolution: from Vf9, Vf8, Vf7, V6, Vf5 to Vf4, VF3, Vf2 and now Vf1. Technically impossible to have Vf0.

Vietnam, Japan to co-develop and co-produce highspeed landing ships.
Would be probably used to move tanks and the marines quickly from a to b.

The reality, Vietnam is not replacing China. Instead, Vietnam, China economy is complementary.

Wow, couple years ago, you were one of those cheering for Vietnam, India and Mexico to replace the supply chains of China to the West in cooperation with the US. You thought it could be done in no time.

Did I say that? If so then I was wrong. We are 100 millions, China 1.4 billion people. We lost 50y of economic development because of wars. That 2 factors alone make us impossible to catch up with China, impossible to replace, not even with Vietnam, India and Mexico combined.

And I did underestimate the pace of China transformation from low to high tech industries. If just replacing low to medium manufacturing I think that would be possible in paper.
