The joint military patrol, both sea and land, or joint exercise at small scale (border area) have been being carried out almost every year, at different scale, in the last 10 years. You just do not know about such co-military work from Western media.

the army signs a deal (land, sea, air) during a visit to Turkey defence expo IDEF-2025.
seems the army would want to licence produce arms made in Turkey.
the next Vietnam defence expo will take place end of 2026.

Let me correct that for you.

In the official Chinese press, the term “联合训练 joint training” is used.
That's what makes this event the most worthwhile to analyze. The terms used in the Chinese official press are so strict that they mean completely different things.

are all those terms the same? drill, exercise, training? what rifles the PLA use? looks similar to US standard rifle.
PS: we need more immigration and more foods so the army personnel can get taller and fatter.

These terms are very different and they each represent a different level of joint military activity.
what rifles the PLA use?
QBZ-191 assault rifle. This is a series of gun family with many different variants.
PLA's active service weapon, it will gradually replace the Type 95 assault rifle family.

something wrong in the picture
the Viet army troop carry Stv380 standard assault rife but no combat helmet, no protective army gears.
a bit risky considering they want to carry out live fire drills.
maybe they wear later?
