Woman says the media lied about America, it's a great country and people don't want to go home





Maybe that was from them listening to biased Eastern Media..because I thought from reading PDF the US controlled Western media. If that was so...then why are foreigners hearing lies about the US?

This is nothing unique about the US. Almost every country has political and cultural adversaries that lie about it or dislike it and at the same time there are people that love those same countries to no end.

That goes for every country I have been to. For my personal taste, despite being a liberal, scientifically minded person, I cannot deal with living in any of the Western countries, owing to the general lifestyle not being to my taste. It does not mean US is a bad place to live in, its just a place I would not wan to live in, even if I had the option (and I had those options). US in general is a fantastic place when you do visit, but that does not make it a perfect lifestyle choice for everyone.

At the same time I see some ultra religious and conservative Pakistani families go to the US and never want to return. Its just everyone's taste. General life, is whatever you make of it .. no matter where you live .. and has very, very little to do with where you actually live your life.

You know with 250th July 4th celebration around the corner and decorations going up in my area and with the Euro vids of what a great time they've been having here in the US I'm starting to feel it... the feeling of US pride/patriotism not a lot but just enough where I'm noticing it in my soul. I just might watch PBS a Capitol 4th which I haven't watched in years.
