I decided to start this, because there is an impression
that Muslims are behind in education when compared to other
communities. Muslims are tied with Hindus for lowest levels of education. That is according to Wikipedia. I am not saying Wikipedia is reliable.

However, on the other hand Muslims have made the largest gains in education along with Hindus in recent decades according to the same article.

So we have to tell the whole story.

But this is what it says:

So I will start. Be sure to include your Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates
and Institutions you graduated from. And country you studied in.

These are Canadian institutions.

My education:
1) B.A. Honours Political Science Degree - Carleton University - Ottawa
2) Office Administration - legal - Seneca Polytechnic (Ontario College Diploma) - Toronto
3) Law Clerk - Seneca Polytechnic (Ontario College Diploma) - Toronto

Regards.

The fact you are on this forum discussing politics in English will give a biased sample in terms of education qualification.. it's not going to be anywhere near the reality on the ground...

But anyways

Engineering from India (computer science)
Masters from Oxford Computer Science (MSc), UK
Masters from Cambridge public policy (MPhil), UK

1) A.B. Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Physics, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA
2) M.S. Physics, University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL, USA
3) PhD. Physics, University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL, USA
4) Registered Patent Agent, US Patent and Trademark Office

What made you want to pursue public policy? I am very curious because I am also thinking about getting a 2nd master's in a field other than computer science after doing master's in either artificial intelligence or data science.

I thought about joining international organizations like the World Bank, so doing another master's in CS didn't feel like the right move unless I was planning to dive into research. I wanted to take a break from the investment banking world where I worked as a tech analyst.

Public policy caught my attention (technology policy was my specialization) because I wanted to see how technology shapes the bigger picture in society and the economy. Now I'm back in India running an agro and livestock business...

Can you kindly share what other non-CS fields did you consider before picking Public Policy and why? I assume you would have most likely considered doing an MBA as well.

This is another thing like World IQ. Nah, besides all this doesn't matter. Our Senior manager is a Diploma holder while me an M.Tech. it's all about experience.

Anyway my qualification B.Tech : University of Calicut India.
M.Tech : National Institute of Technology Calicut.

Yes MBA was on the top of my list, might have been more useful in my line of work... I also considered some of the other management related master like engineering management etc

Ok we run feed mills and hatcheries to produce day old broiler chicks and I'm happy doing that.. as a country we are protein deficient even in household consuming meat, hopefully businesses like mine help improve that..

And most of my work force in my feed mills etc are from Bihar, Chattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal.. and we even have some staff from Arunachal Pradesh.. happy to be giving them jobs that their own state is unable to support
