In the UK, capital punishments are banned anyway. Even in Pakistan, it is not liable to death, but at max, long sentences.

However, the UK wasn't involved in radicalizing its people like we did in 80s. Gazi's father Maulvi Abdullah was part of Zia's majlis-e-shura. Zia sought his counsel many times. 80's mujaideen used to stay teh same red mosque. It was patronized as a Jihad station. Not to mention, maulvi Abdullah wd might have guided in Zia's pardeh and shariah campaigns. It was a strategic asset for Kashmir and the Afghan Jihad.

So it was the government's fault anyway. They kept the public away from education (still <2% education budget) but radicalised instead.

A leader's job is to take pressure and not kill their civilians. The army's job is to give life to save public lives. We don't burn our own house over prtty crime under pressure.

Red mosque students were the nation's children. They broke the law and didn't kill anybody until the operation started. Even then, the response was not proportionate. Burning the mosque was too much.

I was good at arithmetic - geometry - algebra and trigonometry in high school and college. Beyond these subjects I was lost!!!

Aced calculus freshman year in college. Almost went into civil engineering.

Dated a young lady from Moscow. Her father was a visiting math professor at the university.

Took her on a two day whirlwind tour of Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, etc. When we got back, there were four Russians, military built, waiting for us.

Olga immediately told them I was the perfect gentleman. All four went into another room, left us alone.

Next week, on my birthday, she invited me over to have a traditional Russian dinner.

She brought a tumbler and poured half a glass of vodka.

Served me meat and potatoes, and another glass of vodka.

After dinner, another glass of vodka.
