@VCheng what you pick Land cruiser 2001 clean 220k rust on rear lift gate , no rust under carriage vs Tesla Y ?
I know its strange question. Someone offer me dirt cheap Land Cruiser and i know its different beast , Tesla Y fits in my need. But Landcruiser is a classic and series 100 soon disappear , teenage dream car. But scared me cost of maintenance. ....yes, Tesla car battery weight takes tolls on the tires, it is true fact...Apples and oranges. It depends on the type of use. The LC tailgate is a known issue, and fixable, if the rest of the vehicle is good. Check the windshield surround for any rust issues near the trim rivets, which are a huge pain to address properly. It is heavy on gas - 10 to 12 city, 15 to 17 on the highway, but is a tank for any type of weather or terrain, with lots of aftermarket support.
The Tesla is a totally different vehicle altogether. Electric of course, but think about charging scenarios - at home, at work, or somewhere else? Cheap to run on a per mile basis by comparison, but most issues are dealer exclusives, other than tires, which it eats up like there is no tomorrow.
