Whatever

The point unsaid between Joe and me (he will wince and go I) was that you never truly lose till your own blood turns on you.

Parsis and Iranians are in a state of generational PTSD denial that was engineered carefully over centuries to hold the Arabs responsible for the fall of the Persian empire.

That is what is taught to our children. And how we grow up.

The ugly truth is too ugly and self defeating.

Cheers, Doc

Yeah. But history is replete with blood turning on blood....Abel and Cain stuff (which itself IMO was proto-theology analogy/allegory w.r.t fear, jealousy on divine favour...given the immediacy of which this story took place right after loss of innocence of man after the fruit and eviction from Eden)

China had its (still vastly understudied) Taiping war in the 19th century (i.e fairly recently w.r.t history) which had strong theological core basis (the new "brother of Christ" religion that had taken shape and spread quickly) that then spread into other sub-identity basis w.r.t the Han as well.

Issue with entities the size of China, India though are their vast size and spread, the intrinsic inertias at play and energies needed over time to achieve full majoritarian primacy on what the default theological-cultural essence/basis of the civilisation is.....w.r.t both power centres and laypeople.

So the Taiping war was relative flash in pan (as horrible as the final death estimates are) given the start/spread duration of time and the raw total population of China to begin with.

Compared to Persia which always had far lower total population than India and China (the number of rivers carrying capacity etc along with the sheer geographic spread and hedging of these rivers w.r.t underlying ethnicities and languages too)

Thus Persia saw a prolonged %-wise impactfcul intense stasis+whittling away situation relatively speaking w.r.t its blood brother situation.....compared to the rates that India and China ever saw.....it was just that much more compact in the end.

You are right though when its "own brother, own blood" and you live in the downstream of all of it in the reality today, it cannot really be described in words what you feel. With the Jews it was always cognitively easier for them that way (given their much smaller size of kingdom) in that it was foreigners (Babylon, Rome) that led to their great depopulations and eviction (with one return in between helped by the Zoroastrian Persians as you very well know with great theological consequence upon the Jews).

The generational PTSD denial, in that Iran state even today harnesses from Achaemenid et al selectively for specific purposes.....but has been hypocritically miserly in its approach to the Zoroastrian people that carry that torch.

Not sure about the thanks count, so unless you have a solid proof (try wayback machine or Google) I will not be able to adjust correctly. Since you have 7574 posts, I am going to reward you 50% of thanks count, you need to provide you a solid proof to adjust this number again
I am fine with thanks count. However, I was Elite member. Unsure if that exist here.

I have written a poem dedicated to Ursula von der Leyen. Titled "Ursula, EU Chief".

EU Chief. EU Chief.
The sun sets on the West.
The sun rises in the East.
EU Chief. EU Chief.
Go cry in the corner on your deepest fears.
No one will miss your crocodile tears.

What do you think of my poem? @White and Green with M/S @nahtanbob @Viet

Bhai, perhaps you did the right thing. Maybe I was going over the line nd to sum extent on purpose. Well, ill admit, it was all on purpose. The development in the middle east has been a source of frustration and I have been very critical of the Iranian leadership for not doing more as I thought it was their responsibility. I don't see it as right, that one would fund proxies and at the time of their most dire need wont go all in. I just think this strategic patience is absolute gobshite, since each Palestinian life lost is an irreparable loss. Well, it might be hard to see the connection but yeah I've been losing my mind over this. Pakistan has nothing to do with this. But i guess the Iranians have been as frustrated as I am hence the recent actions.

Anyways, due punishment, i dont mind. But do consider letting me post on the chill thread after serving my sentence for a while since I only post on Iran related issues. As for the time being, I accept the sentencing.

Bhai all I am asking is to be a respectable poster and there's no need to insult or taunt people. If you can show you can post well over the next 72 hours I shall lift your ban on such threads. I only act when I have to. How about going onto our Bangladesh section? It's quite vibrant with many good posters.

No no. Please continue the love fest.

I have been thread banned there, in the Members Club forum of all places, so cannot reply there.

Cheets, Doc

So what do you make of the tit for tat episode, I am wondering your perspective specifically

I had written at length over there. In the irgc thread n then the samchar thread.

What is so offensive about a member expressing his views on what he believes the result if a long drawn out military conflict between two nation states is going to be?

This is a Defence forum right? Apparently.

Defence includes war. And its aftermath.

And Im talking as an Indian here. And people abusing my ethnicity and ancestral history.

I report offensive posts. And yet I find myself thread banned.

So yeah no. Your nation needs to find out for itself. As it probably will now.

Nothing new. Your establishment will fug around for others and line their pockets and give the army some breathing space in terms of finance.

And there will be collateral blood paid of those who do not count. The people.

@Waz @Mr X @Musings your rogue American moderators at play again.

Slyly this time.

Cheers, Doc
