Whatever

Hi Neighbor
it sucks a** ngl, makes me wanna look for remote work so I can spend my winters somewhere warm

I hope to move to the Carolinas somewhere, relatively soon. Not too hot, not too cold, about four hours away from a lot of variety of all kinds. Perfect for me. :D

Just follow the rules, and there is no problem. Come on guys, how hard can that be?
A bit heavy handed around these parts with the moderation, aren't we ?

I think its a fair critique.

You'll end up with an echo chamber at this rate.

Fair, of course, but I only do my job as I see fit, only until management (or I) decide otherwise.

I have been thinking about this post since morning. I laughed so much.

The sense of humour of

@Sharma Ji
@Guru Dutt
@Imran Khan

Is of another level and I can never beat that.

Tbh I'd never move somewhere else permanently, except for the weather I like it here
Good universities, cheap properties, Barely any racism like you'd see in a hick town somewhere down south, For long weekends I can go to Toronto by road, or NYC by air
It's a bit run down and not many Pakistanis unlike in Texas, Chicago, NYC - closest ones are Canadians but they dont count as one of us lol

I work with the (edit- somewhere classified) or else in the (edit-other) sector they have remote opportunities in my field- I am looking around to see if these companies allow WFH from somewhere else other than the US so I can spend 2-3 months back in the motherland
If they allow that only then will I consider moving from my current job, else it's not worth it despite the crappy weather
pros outweigh the cons

I can identify with much of what you have said. Good luck in your endeavors neighbor, whoever and wherever! :D

What instrument(s) do you play, @Nilgiri ? Strings, keys, brass ?

I noodle on regular 6 string guitars sometimes, got a couple of electrics and an acoustic, none of them very fancy ones, plugged into a DAC plugged into the PC and software emulations + sequencer (FL Studio) zindabad.

Amplitube 5 is free, you get a couple of heads, cabs and pedals for free and to keep for all eternity, the rest of their quite vast catalogue of other goodies are free and unrestricted for a few days (72 hours) after which they'll have that white noise interruption thing making them basically unusable.

Great bit of software kit, that.. I'll probably end up purchasing a couple of Mesa Boogies for the heavy stuff and maybe an Orange for a more all rounder type sound.

Sigh, you got banned again :cautious: .... it says your next set of points will expire around mid February. We will chat on this then maybe.

Just downloaded a remake of a 60’s cult movie and the language is entirely in Korean with no subtitles ☠️

Korean translators are available in London
My nephew translates content for the government via a company called Language Line, he is paid between around 180£ per 1000 words. Imagine how much I’d have to fork out for an entire movie 😂
