Why did Muslim-majority Tajikistan ban the hijab?

I have never seen Tajikistan mentioned on this board. Now, there is some interesting news:

The ban on headscarves in Tajikistan is seen as a reflection of the political line that the government of president-for-life Emomali Rahmon has been pursuing since 1997. Tajikistan's government passed a law banning the hijab, the latest in a string of 35 wide-ranging religion-related acts, in a move described by the government as "protecting national cultural values" and "preventing superstition and extremism". The law, approved by parliament's upper house Majlisi Milli last Thursday, bans the use of "foreign clothing" — including the hijab, or head covering worn by Muslim women. Instead, Tajikistan citizens are encouraged to wear Tajik national dress. Those violating the law are set to be fined on a scale ranging from 7,920 Tajikistani somoni (almost €700) for ordinary citizens, 54,000 somoni (€4,694) for government officials and 57,600 somoni (about €5,000) if they are a religious figure.

the reason is literally stated in your link...

It's because the Tajiks are embracing their faith after decades of communism

And their dictatorships and leader for life is worried it will destroy their communist system

So these shameful laws

All this will do is ensure the destruction of the tajik political system and the peoples will resist

To be honest they have gone hard against Arab style hijab as opposed to modest tajik dress, BUT at the same time they have haven't stopped dressing like a western whore

USSR Colonization Negative Effect. Other Central Asian have come back to Islam gradually after being released from USSR occupation

Saudis and Tajiks are modernising and transforming to a liberalized society.

Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran are doing exact reverse and trying hard to return to stone ages.
Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan can do such because they are ethnically homogenous. They don't need religion as a point that everyone can agree and unify around.

Afghanistan Turkey Pakistan Iran these are composite states with very large and very prominent ethnic minorities that need to be catered into the power sharing arrangement.
These groups rely on religion as the glue that holds the country together. It is necessary for statehood to be preserved so that people stay away from ethnic seperatism/civil war.

How is denying your faith, value and history modernizing?

If you look at the west, the "modernising" has made a generation of delusional feminist whores

Marriage rates have collapsed
Divorce has skyrocketed
Birth rates are at a all time low

The relationship system has collapsed, leading to hook up culture where only certain men are capable of getting women and has led to rampant debauchery leaving women unable to sustain long term relationships

Islam is the perfect answer and Muslim should embrace our faith to guide our people and build or families and communities

Why are you living in UK ?. Go back to Pakistan and embrace your faith to guide your people and build your families and communities ?.

Sitting in West, enjoying the liberal environment of West and lecturing others about Islam and Islamic way of life doesn't make sense.

Why didn't you migrate to Gulf or any other Muslim country, why Christian UK ?

Because I was born here, why should I run from my own home?

But being born and raised here gives you a PROPER INSIGHT to how they have screwed up their entire relationship system and how the knock on effects will be devastating for their populations in the future

Once you mess up your marriage and relationship system, then it screws up family security and results in a inevitable drop in birth rate

If both young men and young women end up constantly screwing around and racking up large body counts, it messes with their heads makes long term relationships impossible or difficult at best with adultery very likely and raising other mens children probable

Once you realize all this stuff and wake up, you understand we are lucky that we have Islam

We are lucky that we can see all this mess play out in front of us so we can try to avoid the same trap

It starts with education and teaching our children our faith, values and culture

Now I am not saying Hijab should be forced, that's stupid
But it MUST be respected and pushed as shield to shield our women and children

Once your women and children become deluded then you will lose your social society, faith and culture

It's not too late. Pack up and move to Pakistan, Kuwait, Malaysia or any other Islamic country and practice your faith, values and culture.

Why live and keep your children in a non-halal West country ?. Practice, what you are lecturing us.
